In memory of

Staying with Steve and Chris in Ft Myers was always a treasure! Especially when Steve and I were out in his Boston Whaler in the canal returning to the marina when a boat came flying out of a side canal and we hit it dead center. Fortunately the driver was alone and jumped out of the boat before we hit it.

Dear Family, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief and mourning.
The last time I saw Steve epitomizes my memory of him. It was at the 2008 reunion at Jeatran's Camp: He was laughing, being a great host and, of course, cooking (roasting a pig to be exact). He had generously had t-shirts made for the occasion and I think of him whenever I wear mine.
I am so sorry I was unable to be at the service. Much love to each of you.

Chris & family: I just learned from our mutual friend Geoff Young of Steve's cross over. My heart goes out to you, your son & daugter, and related family & friends. May Christ wrap his arms around you and those who loved Steve & mourn his loss. I know the reason for my personal sadness is because Steve's soul and my own were connected.

Esther, Chris and family, I just wanted you to know that I'm thinking about you and you are in my prayers! Cousin Anne let me know about Steve.
I have always had a special place in my heart for my Jeatran cousins. I wish I had known Steve, he sounds a lot like his grandfather, a very special soul. May God be with you and hold you close during this hard time!

I am saddened to hear about Steve's untimely passing; I was shocked to hear this news.
We were good friends who spent lots of time together throughout high school and our first year of college, but unfortunately we lost touch during the years thereafter; for that I regret.
In the Old Testament book of the Psalms – chapter 34…King David wrote – “the Lord is close to the brokenhearted – and He uplifts those who are crushed in spirit.” To Chris, son Josh, daughter Molly…and the entire Jeatran extended family I offer my heartfelt sympathies; I pray that when your hearts feels like breaking from the loss you've experienced…that God will be extra close to you, and when your spirit feels crushed by the grief your bear…I pray His spirit will uplift yours and ease your pain.
Grace and peace,
Dan Larson; Belton, MO

Chris, Molly, and Josh,
I am so sorry that Steve had to leave, but I am thankful that his suffering has ended. I am thankful that I got to know him- he truly was full of life and love. My favorite memory with him was driving out the Green Sands Beach. Not everyone was sure we would make it, but the rugged terrain was no match for Steve and he 4-wheeled us out there like a champ.
We will miss you Steve.
