Wow! 13 years. It´s your Heaven Birthday today. You´re a Heaven teenager now. I stayed up, as usual, to witness the hour of your transition.

4,749 days. And not a single one passed without me thinking of you. I miss you so much.

I am grateful for the 42 years I shared life with you. Not long enough but I trust God. And I know He is using you so well. Your purpose was done. And, as God reminded me in the Fall 2011, your purpose was not to solely be my brother. That was just God´s grace. And I am grateful.

I am also grateful for your visits. Thanks for continuing to protect me.

Well, let me get my butt to bed. I love you Steve. Through eternity. So grateful I will see you again one day. Can´t wait to give you the biggest hug!!

I sure can use your hug today. Life has hit me like a ton of bricks. I have no words.

Sigh...your 5th Heaven Birthday is rapidly approaching..there is not a day that goes by that I do not think about you. I miss you terribly. I know, however, that you continue to watch over me and thank you. I have seen your reminders over the last week or so and thank God that he allows you to gently visit from time to time. I found of your passing yesterday, crushed me, couldn't sleep, eat, just cried. Although we haven't spoken in years, you were always in my thoughts and will always be in my heart. Steve, it's been almost 5 months since Jesus called you Home. I miss you terribly. But, when I think of you spending Christmas in Heaven with Jesus, I am so comforted and excited for you. I can't imagine what His birthday party is like in Heaven! I thank God that He let me be your sister, and I look forward to seeing you when I get Home. I love you with all of my heart!! Thinking alot about Steve today (as if that is anything new.) You know, "death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal." As we enter the Holiday season, it is such a blessing. However, I do not look forward to not being to connect with my brother physically, as I have done for 42 years. Thanksgiving was "our" holiday. Nonetheless, I thank God that I can still connect with Steve spiritually until we are reunited in Heaven. Selah!

Steve, we little knew that day, God was going to call your name. In life, we loved you dearly, in death, we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you Home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, and although we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

The measure of life, after all, is not its duration but its donation. Steve's donation was incredible! Praise God for him!!

To measure Steve's value and contribution to the lives of others is as if one would take a thimble and try to empty an ocean.

Hey I send my deepest condolences to the family. Shannon and Tacita keep yor heads up but this is something you will never forget, but try and foucus on the happy memories.

Steve, I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, from which I'll never part. God has you in His arms. I have you in my heart.

I knew Steve when he ran around with my nephews (Hutto boys) they came to the house often. He was funny and sweet and he will be missed by all who knew him. Enjoy "running" around up there.

For those who loved Steve, and poured into his 45 years of life, thank you. He loved his family and friends dearly. Steve truly had a heart of Gold.
