Dr. Steve Edward Rowley

Dr. Rowley's passing is an enormous loss to our long-term care community. He will be greatly missed.

What a dear heart entered Heaven's gates when Dr. Rowley was called home by Jesus! His sweet spirit will continue to bless those he touched with both his skill and with his wisdom! My prayers and heart are with you as I know that the only Comforter is with you right now! With love, Teresa

I worked under Dr. Rowley in 2 of his long care facilities. He was superb, in every aspect of his care. He is the only Dr. in my 11 year career, that paused his active life, to teach. He always answered the questions, and listened to his nurses. I was so very saddenned to hear of his illness, and death. What a true blessing he was to everyone who's lives he touched. Dear Jackie, Kathy, Jeanie and Jenny Lynn, I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I wasn't aware of his illness. Having gone through that same battle with Ozzie I truly understand where you are right now. I remember all the times spent at your house when we were growing up, Steve was always so fun. Dr. Rowley was such an influence in my life. I will never forget one night when I called him for advice when my daughter was very sick. Not only did he help me without hesitation, but he also talked to me until I was calm and gave me such peace. He was truely an exceptional person and I know I will personally miss him deeply. It was truely a blessing that God put him in my life.

During the short time I was able to spend with Steve during his fight with cancer he was a courageous man and not ashamed to hide how he felt. He loved his family. I pray that his influence and his salt sprinkled all throughout his work and his family. Let us thank God for his life and I send out prayers for his family.

Dr. Rowley was a remarkable man, I am proud to have known him as a friend, my physician, and co-worker. He will be missed by many. He was there to speak into my life, and my children's lives at times of need, and they are grateful to have known him also.
My heart goes out to the family, and you will be in my prayers.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Rowley. He was my doctor at a very hard time in my life. He was responsible for saving my life in 1993. He was there with me when I found out my daughter had been killed in a car accident. What a wonderful caring doctor. Later in life I had the opportunity to work with his daughter Amber. My sincere symphathy goes out to his family and the community who lost a wonderful man and doctor. I am praying for you.

Jackie, Kathy,Jeannie, and Jenny Lynn I want you to know I am so sorry to hear about Steve's passing. I remember way back to Little League Baseball, then of course at good ole Tarrant Road Baptist Church. Paul and Steve were pretty close to the same age. Paul would have been 60 in June of this year. I have so many wonderful memories of George, Steve and your whole family. I have always been very proud of Steve as person, but more than anything as a Christian. If Steve played golf, I can assure you he and Paul are enjoying one of God's best courses in heaven. Jackie one thing I will always remember about the way you and George raised your family, was your raised them in the way they should walk, and rest assured they will not depart from it either. Steve was a outstanding young man.
It was my joy to have him on a Little League Baseball Team. His life made a great contribution to us all. My heart goes out to all the family.

I worked with Dr. Rowley when I first became a nurse and had contact with him at various jobs over last 15 years. He always had a kind word, gentle smile even when I was frustrated. He was my hero, I never worked with another doctor who could hold a candle to him. His family is in my prayers and thoughts.

I first met Dr. Rowley in 1994. He eventually became my Medical Director for my nursing facility. He was always fun & jovial when he would come in to see his residents! He was a very warm and caring doctor. I lost contact with him thru the years and this is a shock for me to read. I will always have a special place for him in my thoughts. Praying for God's comfort and strength for you during this difficult time.

Steve was a very active member of Tarrant Road Baptist Church while we were there. We knew him to be an exemplary Christian in every aspect of life. His influence will continue to impact lives. Steve's "home-going" came too early for us but just right for him as he is now with Jesus. His reward will be great for the life he lived and the lives he has touched and helped. Steve and I were good friends, classmates at TCOM, and colleagues for over 35 years. I've known him longer than 2 of my children, and all of his.
