I was shocked and saddened to learn of Steve´s untimely passing. I met Steve in the early 80´s, when my all-girls high school was staging a production of Bye Bye Birdie. Steve was one of the guys recruited from other schools to play the male roles. The day came when the full cast stood nervously in the choir room for our first group rehearsal. There was a gasp of excitement when Steve opened his mouth and started to sing. With his handsome looks and powerful voice, Steve WAS Conrad Birdie.
I was lucky enough to be in more productions with Steve, again at Alvernia H.S. and later with Explorers/Generic Theater. Steve played Tevye, the Tin Man, Curly, and many other roles. He was reliably excellent, always. And besides being a fine performer, he always seemed to be a truly nice, funny guy. I treasure my memories of my time with those friends and cast members, which included Steve´s brothers George and John. I send my sincere condolences to them and the rest of the family for the loss of their brother.

Hi Susan
I heard of the tragic news with Steve's passing and wanted to reach out and offer my most sincere condolences. There are never any words to soften the loss of loved one, especially a spouse of many years, but I would be remiss in not expressing my sympathy for your sudden loss. All my prayers, Dave

Dear Susan
Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss of Steve. I just learned of his untimely passing when I had lunch with Bud Bartelt today. Over the years since Rustoleum Linda and I enjoyed the several performances of Petite Opera which we were able to attend. I feel your pain and grief, having also lost Linda, my love of 50 years, in 2016.
My heartfelt prayers go out to you. May God bless and keep you.

Steve was a joy to work with. This the first show I did with him. I couldn't have asked for a more talented colleague.

My condolences to all of the family.
This was heartbreaking news to hear about. He always has been very kind whenever I spoke to him both in person and on phone when calling him to ask questions on scheduling an Out Patient Nuc Med test. He always made sure he welcomed my new hires when I would bring them around for department tours to put the faces with the voice. He will be so missed. Rest In Peace Steven.
