I am extremely grateful to know and be friend of Steve. We met through Ken Walter´s as members of the exchange Club, the University Club and The St. Andrew´s Society. I loved being with he Laura. My favorite moment was coming back from an event in St Pete. The brakes went out on Ken´s 1965 Cadillac convertible. Steve calmly said, we´ll just have to do a Fred Flintstone.

I have such fond memories of traveling from Chicago to attend Steve and Laura's wedding. What was remarkable was that I had never met either Steve or Laura until the wedding! Laura and I worked for the same accounting firm and became "phone friends." I was treated like a member of the family that weekend and will forever be grateful to Steve and Laura for their warmth, kindness, generosity, and gracious Southern hospitality.

Sending love to Steve´s family members especially his loving and adoring wife Laura. They truly demonstrated what it meant to love unconditionally and cherished one another, particularly through sickness and health. Their advocacy to speak up on behalf of others facing cancer; commitments to volunteer at the cancer center helped to make life better for current and future patients. My husband and I loved Steve and I admired Laura´s dedication to him; ensuring he was well cared for and had what he needed. I also could see how much Steve loved and supported Laura. They were both their "strong towers!" The word of God says, "absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." We know exactly where Steve is - with God, planting roses in Heaven.
Love you, Laura!

More photos, as I find time to add them. Steve always used to wave at me like that, so that photo is especially wonderful to me! The interview was at our first Moffitt Day in Tallahassee in 2019. Please, friends, keep the pics coming!

My wife and I first met Steve through Laura. Laura and I worked for the same company. They stayed at our house a couple of times and we had a great time. Steve was a fine gentleman and great to be around. We are so glad they found happiness together.

It was a pleasure working with Steve. His calm demeanor in business conferences helped everyone to stop, take a breath and listen to what he had to say. Inside I would be smiling at how everyone
would just quiet down and listen to what Steve had to say. He was the go to guy to learn about retirement plans.

I am so sorry to hear about Steve. He was a great guy. We were fraternity brothers at USC back in the day. He was a true friend and will be remembered forever. Our greatest adventure was seeing Elvis in 1976 in Atlanta. Thoughts and prayers for Laura. Steve and I were able to get together in February of 2020.

I met Steve at GreenFest, which was held at the University of Tampa's Plant Park. Steve visited because his wife, Laura, volunteered with GreenFest and the University of Florida/IFAS Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program. The park was beautiful - great Florida weather, sunshine and spring temperatures, lots of friends and smiles, beautiful old palms and oaks on the UT/Plant Park campus. It was a perfect Florida day. Laura introduced me to Steve and I remember thinking how positive and genuine he seemed. Steve was one of the kindest people I've met. It was evident he was Laura's biggest fan, and supported her in all she did. I'm grateful to have met Steve, I'm in awe of Steve and Laura's wonderful marriage, and I'm inspired by his life. He showed us that life can be well-lived, we can be of service to others, and we can be grateful in how we live our lives.

What a beautiful message capturing Steve´s wonderful, kind personality and his true love of life. Not a day has gone by without feeling his loss. Living next door to Steve and Laura for the past two decades, we got to feel the joy of his smile daily, enjoy and pass tips/advice/humor/news and feel the love he had for life. There is nothing each of them would not do for each other; it was a beautiful thing. May the heavens watch over you in eternity. With great love, Hank and Julie
