Steven Michael Basden

Steven Michael Basden, 45, passed away on November 2, 2024, in Midland, Texas. Born on March 20, 1979, Steven dedicated many years to the oil field industry and was employed at Encore Wellheads in Midland for the past five years.

Known for his strong work ethic and love for his colleagues, Steven was a pillar of strength and respect at his workplace. He was a devoted family man, always putting his loved ones first, cherishing every moment spent with his wife and children. Steven's passion for cooking was well known among his friends and family.

Steven graduated from Barbe High School and carried the values of hard work and commitment throughout his life. His hobbies included golf, fishing, and hunting, activities through which he formed many cherished memories with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Basden; children, Steven Alan Basden, Allie Basden, and Willow Basden; stepchild, Skyler Williams; parents, Alan Basden (Cathie Basden) and Georgie Cummings (Kirby Cummings); siblings, Mark Basden (Sabrina), Dorinda Basden, and Brandie Alexander (Jason). He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will miss his presence deeply.

Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents, Inez and Nathaniel Basden, Wayne & Betty Jefferson, Fred and Carylon Hebert, and Gene Hiatt.
