Steven Wayne Bowden

     Steven Wayne Bowden, 54, of Basin, Wyoming passed away in Billings, Montana on January 9, 2021. Steven was born on June 12, 1966 to Stephen and Carolyn (Nichols) Bowden in Columbia, MO. Steven was a graduate of High School and had completed two years of college. Additionally, he served honorably in the United States Army attaining the rank of SP4 and was discharged from Ft. Richardson, AK. His decorations include the Sharpshooter Badge, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Army Commendation Medal and the Army Good Conduct Medal. The worked in unit level communications. In 1995 he moved to the Big Horn Basin. Steven was a jack of all trades, was a driver, worked in construction and in security.

     He is survived by his father, Stephen Bowden of Basin, WY; brothers, Michael Bowden of Basin, WY and Shaun Bowden of Cody, WY; sister, Stacey Schmeir of Clearwater, FL. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Jane (Nichols) Bowden. 

     Cremation has taken place at the Antelope Butte Crematory in Greybull. No formal services will be held. Military Honors and a grave dedication will occur in the spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atwood Family Funeral Directors.
