In 1980 I met Steve in our kindergarten class at the Wing school. Our teacher Mrs Menesale, kept calling us by each others name. We became fast and best friends. We sang together in many concerts. His memory will live on with me and the stories, I will continue to tell. Steve my heart is broken. I love you and will see you again. Ginny and Tim my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Broderick Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Steve wa a great person and friend. He was someone you could call out of the blue and he would be there.

I met him as graduate students and resident directors at Radford University. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He was very passionate and so witty.

I hope there is comfort in knowing how much Steve was loved by so many.

My deepest sympathy,

Andy Morse

I met Steve in 1995 when he was a then-colony member of our Pi Kappa Alpha Chapter at Old Dominion University. Steve's enthusiasm and care for his fraternity and its brothers was an inspiration to see. And he continued that same energy and zeal for more than two decades. I am stunned and heartbroken by his passing. But I am a better and richer person for having known Steve and having been able to call him my brother and friend.

I send my sincere condolences to the Broderick family. Steve was my friend and fraternity brother. He was so smart and so witty. As we both volunteered for the Fraternity as alumni, I saw the impact that Steve had on so many others as a leader and mentor. He is gone way too soon and he will be dearly missed.

Dear Broderick Family:

Steve was a fixture of my college experience someone who welcomed me into the fraternity and made a major difference on my development. He encouraged me to lead and showed me what it means to be a great brother. He was a very compassionate, kind, and loyal man who I will always remember fondly.

While Steve may be gone, his legacy lives on in all of our bonds of friendship and brotherhood. The truth is that many of us would not have the happiness we have in our lives today if it were not for him. I'm so sorry for your loss we all feel it.

To Steve's family, friends and Broothers in ,
There are no words to express my sadness or assuage yours. Steve was a good soul who left us far too soon, but the values he held dear and taught through his eloquent words, loving mentoriship, and the way he lived his life made a greater impact than many who live decades longer. He will be missed, but his legacy lives on.

Friends of Steve,

I have been friends with Steve for more than 20 years. His passing is a tragedy. Know that he is loved and revered by many in Pi Kappa Alpha. More than he likely knew.

It was my pleasure to have Steven as a friend during my time in Washington, DC. What started as fraternity volunteerism turned into a friendship that I counted on. He was so passionate about the values and impact Pi Kappa Alpha made for him and others; and he lived up to them consistently. May God bless his soul . . . he'll be missed but has made an impact on many lives.

To the Broderick family,

My deepest condolences on the loss of Steven.

I had the privilege to work with him at Radford University. He was a fine young man and will be missed.

He and another RD were kind enough to look after my son and take him for ice cream one night when I had to work late.

Steven also was gracious enough to give my late husband, son, and I a private tour of the Capitol when he worked there in 1999.

May you find comfort in memories, love, and support of family and friends.
