Steve and I have been friends since we were 6 years old. We lived on the same street in a subdivision just off Alcy road which was not too far from where we would eventually work and retire from. Federal Express.
We both previously worked together at Plough, INC. And then First Tennessee Bank (First Horizon), where we got our first exposure to Computer Operations. We both were hired at FedEx about 6 months apart. We also retired from FedEx about 6 months apart.
We also shared an apartment for about a year in the mid 70´s where we had a great time. I can´t tell you all we did because the statute of limitations has not expired. (And I can´t remember a lot of it anyway.) LOL.
All in all, he was my oldest friend and sometimes confidant. I think of him every day and often catch myself wanting to text him (nobody calls anymore) to catch up.
I hope he is in Heaven enjoying his daily cocktail. LATER DUDE.

I did not know Steve very well in school, but I never heard an unkind word about him. I wish we had had a chance to golf together and talk about gardening. I am sure he found his just reward in Paradise.

Steve had an oddball sense of humor, that's what I loved about him, it made him fun to be with. He could be counted on to make some wry comment to make you smile.
