Steven Green Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 12, 2023.
Steven, born on June 29, 1987, was called home November 7, 2023, after a tragic accident. Gone too soon, God must have needed another soldier. Upon his arrival, he was wrapped in the wings of his Grandma Nona and welcomed home by Grandma and Grandpa Ricci.

He left behind his Grandmother Margot, father Steve Green (Christine), mother Susan Ricci (Eugene), sisters Stephanie Hernandez Green (Gabe), Samantha Kraus (Adam), Sierra Green (Luis), nephews Jaden, Alonzo, Donavin, Damien, niece Elianna, his precious daughter April Jackson, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and good friends.

Parents should never have to write their child's obituary. The family has come together and done so collectively.

Never afraid, but enormously proud to say he was a mama's boy.

A free spirit who ran on his own time, to his own rules.

Steven was the biggest, happiest, older brother to his sisters and loved with all his being.

He was a good son, a good person and had a good heart.

He was a goofball and all the kids loved him for it. You could always count on him to tease you and make light of any situation. But he had a serious side in which he loved deeply and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

Steven was a good brother, uncle and brother-in-law to our family. He will forever be missed and remembered, Big Ol Jolly Green Giant.

When Steven walked into a room, you knew it. Not only by his stature, but also the grin on his face and the twinkle in his eyes. The truth is, this big-hearted kid just wanted everyone happy, and all the kiddos around would latch onto him. HE LOVED HIS FAMILY! 49ers, BBQ's, sweets and tinkering with RC cars or quads.

His elders knew they could count on him for anything, and he was always willing to lend a hand.

He would not want us to cry for long.

When I'm Gone

When I come to the end of my journey

And I travel my last weary mile

Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned

And remember only the smile

Forget unkind words I have spoken

Remember some good I have done

Forget that I ever had heartache

And remember I've had loads of fun

Forget that I've stumbled and blundered

And sometimes fell by the way

Remember I have fought some hard battles

And won, ere the close of the day

Then forget to grieve for my going

I would not have you sad for a day

But in summer just gather some flowers

And remember the place where I lay

And come in the shade of evening

When the sun paints the sky in the west

Stand for a few moments beside me

And remember only my best.

Steven, you will forever be in our hearts, and you will never be forgotten.

Friends and Family of Steven Michael Green: We will be hosting an informal memorial/viewing at Jones Mortuary in Lakeport on Monday 11/13 from 3-6 PM. This will be for all to come and go as they please to say their goodbyes to Steven's physical self. We will also plan a BBQ somewhere later down the line when we are a little more healed and ready for that, open to anyone who would like to attend.

I don´t know if I was your bus driver first or you were my son Keith McCallum´s good friend first. I do remember you made Keith a beautiful cross after his passing in 2003. You kids were 16 years old by then and you took me up to the tree behind the high school to show me where you hung it. Someone stole it a few days later and it broke your heart, mine too.
I remember it and I´ll never forget you. RIP Steven and hugs to your sisters and family.

I don't even know where to start. We have so many together. To when we first meet in 2006 to having a daughter in 2009. Steven you have been a huge part of my life. You made me a momma. When I look at our daughter all I see is you. To her contagious smile to her height and to her stubborn attitude. Steven I was a year older then our daughter when I feel inlove with you. Your free my love. Watch over us. Guide ur baby girl. I promise to take care of her I promise to love her more and I promise to keep ur memory alive. There are so many wishes I could wish for so many things I could rewind. But like you have always told me everything happens for a reason. Steven this isn't goodbye. We never say good bye it's simply see ya later. The man who stole my heart 17 years ago. I'll always love you forever n always my gentle green giant. Love always Samantha and your beautiful daughter April Marie

Your cheeky grin & giant hug will be missed the most.
Love you kiddo, we WILL see each other again. Till then, keep them signs coming!
I pray for comfort for your parents, all three of them love you fiercely.
Keep tormenting them kiddos from above, guide them..I know you'll be protecting them.
In all of your silly goofy comforting ways, show your sisters you're not far.
When April, your precious April creates...it's you who gives her her inspiration!
Please give your Grandma Nona a special squeeze from me...and Gramma & Grampa too!
You're the lucky one!
We will see each other again, till then I love you to infinity & beyond

Steven found me on Facebook and has always kept in touch over the years. A cousin from my family lost. I never got to meet him in person but we kept in touch
