Wish we were getting ready for our annual St. Paddy's Day trip Steve! OMG we had some times. Donna and I can't believe it's been 8 years since you left this Earth for Heaven. Still, you are remembered and missed by so many.

Yo Steve in Heaven! You've probably met some friends of mine up there over the recent years! I think about you often. Dale and I talk about you frequently. I remember when you, Deb, me and Donna went to that Irish Bar on St. Patrick's Day in Fort Lauderdale after our "luxury" cruise to Freeport. I still have the big cups they served beer in. I drink OJ out of them and think about you when I do. You are far from forgotten. Cheers!

Today has been a day of reflection. Its been one year since the devastating lost of such a great man. We lit chinese lanterns and said a prayer of thanks and released the lanterns into the sky. Miss you and thank you for 40 wild and wonderful years. Love Deb.

Steve - we missed you and Deb at Dale and Jenny's cabin the weekend of October 19th. We talked about all the great times we had there and a lot of other places! Dale and I had some Adorondak (spelling??) chairs made in your Memory. We miss you.

Steve.....just thinking of you. I know you are fine. I just miss you so much. Please look after us and guide us to do the right thing and to make you proud. Love you.

I spoke to Amy recently and was saddened to learn about the difficult winter she and her family just experienced. I know Mr. Haddeland from my childhood. My time growing up was better because of Mr. & Mrs. Haddeland. They showed such love, generosity and caring not only for their own children, but the friends of their children too. I know I am a better person for having known him, and getting to witness his poise and professionalism in all that he did. It was a measure to live by to be honest. My heart is with you and your family.

Steve was so wonderful to work with and always had a smile on his face. I first worked with Steve while he was at Parke-Davis and I was at PCS Health Systems. We later became colleagues at AdvancePCS and it was fun to be on the same team. In December 2011, I asked Steve for some information on another company, and he was willing to help right away - providing a day & time I could call him. We probably hadn't spoken for maybe 8 years! That was just like him to be so responsive & kind. Steve, you will be missed.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. I have known Steve for 20 years as we crossed paths at different companies, and always enjoyed his quick smile and upbeat attitude. He will be missed by many.

We may not have known Steve for a long time, but when we were building our house next to Steve and Deb's, they were the kindest neighbors!! They let us visit with Kirby the cat on his forays to our garden, we bonded over shoveling our driveways through the nightmare winter of 2010-2011, and we swapped wine bottles and gardening tales. We will miss Steve tremendously!

Dear Debbie and Family,

I worked with Steve at Stuart Pharmaceuticals in the 80's and of course attended many meetings with Steve. What a great colleague and friend. I loved his stories about ice fishing and the survival kit needed to work his territory in South Dakota. I still repeat some of his great jokes and always give him credit for them, especially the Sven and Ollie one's.

I had the honor to work with Steve at AstraZeneca and we trained together as managers. He always made me laugh and always found a positive side to all situations. I know we will All Miss Him!

Peg and I are so sorry to hear about Steve. He was not only my brother-in-law, but he was always a wonderful friend.
When we were younger and I was working for Steve and staying with you in Waubun, I had some of the best times of my life. Steve and I had a great time on the road trips to Grand Rapids to work. On one project out there we were working on finishing a roof and the temps were in the 90's by 11:00 am. Steve had me putting down the tar paper and as I approached the peak I could feel my feet slipping. I called down to Steve on the scaffold that he had to catch me and, sure enough he did and we knocked off for the day.

That's the way Steve was; you could always count on him and he was always looking out for the other person.

I wish we could make it to the funeral, but unfortunately we can't. I want so much to say Good Bye to Steve and to see the rest of you again. I love and miss you all dearly and wish I could be there for you in your time of need.

Everytime I would see Steve, whether at a meeting or in home office, he would always ask me how my family was doing before anything else. Steve has got them smiling and laughing in heaven. What a great guy, always generous, always friendly. We were long time neighbors in Apple Valley. When Steve and Deb lived in Arizona our son Tyler moved to Arizona. They helped Tyler out all the time, which we appreciated so much. Just one of the best.

Steve was a classmate of mine- class of 71- waubun hs. He was also a neighbor for a few years. We used to exchange May baskets when we were 5 or 6. He always ran because he didn't want to be kissed!
