Steven Howdyshell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 2, 2025.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Steven Brett Howdyshell, 33, of Midlothian, Virginia on August 12, 2025. Brett was born on July 7, 1992, in Richmond, Virginia. Brett was the beloved son of Steven and Cathy Howdyshell, the cherished brother of Madison Geiman (Brock), and uncle of Grayson and Baker Geiman. Brett was known for his love for his family, sports and Washington sports teams. In addition, Brett was a passionate golfer, had a great sense of humor, and loved spending time with his dog, Shadow.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Annette and Wilbur Jarrell and Betty and Charles Howdyshell; his uncle Scott Howdyshell; and cousins Eric and Jeremy Howdyshell.

A celebration of Brett's life will be held on September 5, 2025, at 3:00pm at the Chapel - Midlothian Campus 3505 Old Hundred Road South with a reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Chapel RVA in Brett's memory as this was a place Brett loved.
