McHENRY - Steven H. Jenkins, 54, of McHenry, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry.
He was born Jan. 29, 1952, in Peoria, to Belton and Freeda (Butler) Jenkins. On Dec. 2, 1998, he married Sandra "Sandi" Tonkin in Woodstock.
He worked as a bricklayer. He enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, shooting pool, woodcarving ducks, working in his yard, and especially being with and loving his wife.
Survivors include his wife of many years; a son, Jeff (Jennifer Farlow) Jenkins of Dunn County, Wis.; a sister, Gwen (Lou) Brichetto of McHenry; a brother, Jack (Penny) Jenkins of Texas; six sisters-in-law, Susan (Bill) Schultz, Sherrie Kent, Gay (Ed) Ward, Laurie (Pat) Surma, Terrie (Shane) Northam and Linda (Lenney Urbaniak) Tonkin; two brothers-in-law, Brett (Tomi) Tonkin and Chet (Kristine) Tonkin; his nieces and nephews, John (Lucy) Eblin, Jim (Jenny) Eblin, Michael, Tracy, Elizabeth and Jackie Jenkins, William and Sheila Schultz, Christina and Chet Ward, Alan, Jimmy, Jessie, Katie and Frank Surma, David, Mike and Brian Northam and Dalton and Jacob Tonkin; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicholas, Giana and Bryce Eblin, and many more.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service Saturday, May 6, at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry. The Rev. Roger Olsen will officiate
Burial will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
