R.I.P. Steve... You were a bright light on the 13th Floor. Deepest condolences to your family.

As the father of one of my best friends growing up, Steve was the Dad we all wanted to be our Dad - a surfer, great tennis player, and person with a daily positive attitude and joie de vivre. He exposed us to worlds beyond our hometown existence and inspired us to be adventurous, good humored and good humans. Thank you so much for being the larger than life person that we looked up to. We will miss you.

I am completely heartbroken. Steve was my coworker and friend. The mischevious big brother who made me laugh every day. I can’t imagine not seeing him in the office. He will be missed terribly

No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. However, take comfort in knowing God is with you and your family lean on him in your time of need. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences.

I have known Steven for 30 years and he will be sorely missed. I dont think Ill ever meet anyone who loved the markets more than Steven . He had a magnetic and engaging way about him and lit up a room when he walked in . He was a force of nature , a one of kind person, and a true TITAN. I will miss you my friend. Condolences to the entire Kroll family and also his work family at Monness Crespi family.

Steve was a class act and a joy to work with. A real gentleman.

I thought Steve was one of the truly nice guys I met in the investment management business. Though, myself not a Titan, I did attend a number of the dinners and he was a great host and a great guy. I'll miss him.

Dear Sally, Lindsay and Steven,
Im deeply saddened to hear of Stevens passing. I worked for him from 1986-1992 at EF Hutton.
How can I ever thank him for taking me from a street kid from Staten Island and molding me into a fantastic Wall Street career. Rest easy.

I have worked with Steven for almost 25 years. He was not just a friend but I considered him family. I loved him dearly and I will miss his smile and sarcasm horribly. My deepest sympathy to Sally and the kids.
