Can't believe it has been another year. For some reason he came to mind just last week.
Thinking of Steve's family.

Dearest Sam and Emma , I am so saddened by your loss. I remember your Dad, being a loving, caring, and most proud father, to the both of you. His smile was contagious and he was a wonderful man. Prayers are yours, from me.Sincerrly, Dottie Lacouse Metivier

I write with much sadness as I remember Steve. I was fortunate to have his consultation on several projects in the aviation industry. Steve was forever a gentleman, and always brought a smile with his work. Our industry will be forever affected by his loss.

I am so saddened to have heard of Steve's passing and would like to extend my deepest sympathy and empathy to Steve's family, friends, and especially to Sam and Emma. From the time both Sam and Emma were born, I remember what a loving, caring and hands on father he was to them and he truly was a wonderful father. I didn't see him often over the years, but when I did - he always had a smile and was a true gentleman. Steve also made the best homemade cheesecakes- hands down - that I ever tasted ! I've known Steve for 20 years. I remember the first day I met him, and we hit it off immediately. He was a true and trusted friend to me all those years, and we helped each other through some very difficult times. One day I will find the right words that express the grief and sorrow and sadness that I feel. I'll always remember my friend, and I extend my deepest sympathy to his family.

I did not know Steve, He sounds like a very loving generous man who only added to this world, To all of his family I am saddened . Losing a man as young is so wrong somehow. May GOD BLESS and Watch over you all. The DeVores,Veazie,Me.

I worked with Steve for 15 years at Dufresne-Henry and Stantec. Steve was always positive, and his trademark smile was known to all; I learned much from him and valued his friendship. The news of his passing was a great personal shock. My deepest sympathies to his family; you are all in my prayers.

I knew Steve growing up on Hillcrest Drive who always was a friendly person with a nice thing to say. After 30 years, I spoke with Steve on FB and found he had not changed. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I was very saddened to hear of Steve's passing. I didn't know Steve so well, but I remember as a kid joining in on some of the fun in the Linscott's backyard together with neighbordhood kids, including Walt and Jonathan Linscott, and Terry White. I remember Steve as a good and decent person, a gentleman.

Gil, Pat, Roxanne, Sandy and family - my deepest sympathies. I will forever remember the fun and caring person Steve was. From our days playing in the field behind our house as 7 year old boys to our drives from Brewer to Syracuse University he was a good friend. I know he has touched many in permanently positive ways and that serves as a testament to the richness of his soul. Media vita in morte sumus. Pax vobiscum my friend.

A good man...with fond memories I reflect on our camping trips to the river.

So many people, including yours truly, loved and cherished Steve Langlais for the joy, kindness, and consideration he so amply shared with those in his life. A part of me goes with him, but a bigger part of him stays behind, in a nearby place where his contagious smile and zest for life will continue to shine.
