Steven Andrew Panton, Ph.D., passed away on March 29, 2023, surrounded by friends and family. Steve succumbed to Benson's Syndrome at the young age of 63 in Tallahassee, Florida. He is survived by his wife Lynn and two children, Kelly Panton, Denver, CO, and Andrew Panton, Jacksonville, FL; also by a sister, Valerie Wren, DeLand, and brothers William Panton (Rieko), Orlando, and Palmer Panton (Joette), DeLand. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorena Macfie Panton. Steve was loved dearly by his community and the people he met throughout his time on this earth. Steve was a family man, an avid church member, animal lover, avid golfer and tennis player, and friend to all. He will be remembered fondly for a smile that could brighten anyone's day and for owning more Gator memorabilia than any one person should. Memorial services will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee on April 22nd, 2023, at 11:00 am. If donations would like to be made in Steve's memory, they can be made to Big Bend Hospice, Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Animal Therapy Program, or Christ Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Steven Panton actions of generosity, loyalty and hard work, for neighbors, friends and his family will be remembered. Steve enjoyed life's treasures; the pleasure of sharing, and the happiness of helping others. He gave us time, thoughts and words that helped encourage all of us to be at our best. Steve you are traveling on a road that's not paved, where the weather doesn't matter, a place that has a small group of friends, family and your parents. Steve you are going where you have been chosen to go, because they need you. A place where, God is most likely to be.
