My first memory with him is when he brought home a red go cart for the family to enjoy he tried his best to be a good man and a good father.
We all three of us April Anne Starnes pope and Steven Loyd pope shared one thing in common we know what it´s like to work in a correctional facility. I think that was one of the positive things we had in common untill I moved to other opportunities.
I learned from my father many things in the short time I had with him in my youth and in my adult years. The one that stuck with me was he said I had a good heart and I reminded him of his brother guy Colby pope . That always stuck with me.

Steve Pope, my brother, rest in peace. I will always cherish the memories of our times together, Gallivanting through the desert, arroyos, mountains, forest, canyons... all different places. Exploring or just talking about life. You always talked about the love you had for all your family. April, Steven, Michelle, and Richard always talked to me like family and I appreciate them greatly.
My most heartfelt condolences to all the family. May God bless you all and give you comfort and strength in this most difficult and painful time.

I love you Dad, and I will miss you greatly. We had a lot of great times together, and I wish we were able to have more. You always believed in me, and I appreciate everything you have done for me. I hope you found peace and comfort. Say hello to Mom, Grandma, Grandpa, and Guy for me. Love you!
