Steven Robinson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 7, 2024.
Steven David Robinson was born on April 24,1978 in Oceanside, CA, to John and Barbara Robinson. He grew up in Carlsbad, CA and several cities in Northern California, graduating from Carlsbad High School in 1996. Steve had a variety of jobs, but his heart led him to leave his last job to care for his mother until her death in 2022. His greatest achievement was raising his son, Mason, who was his joy and blessing. Steve died unexpectedly at home on March 29, 2024, less than a month before his 46th birthday.

He is survived by so many who loved and cared about him- his father, John; stepmother, Michele; son, Mason; brothers and sisters- Nicholas, Jennifer, Jackie, Steven, Joseph, Megan, Beth, Cassie, and Brynn; grandma, Aquan: aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, James G Dionisopoulos, and his mother, Barbara Dionisopoulos.

Steve was often included at Sunday dinners and celebrations with Hugh & Kathy O'Neil, their daughter, Katie, her husband, Brian, and her children- Roxi, Mason, Lincoln and Sawyer. He loved and cared for Katie's other children like his own. The O'Neil's were his bonus family.

Aside from being a family man, Steve had a love for the Lord, generosity and compassion for those less fortunate, kindness and a heart of gold. He loved telling jokes and stories to the kids, going to their activities, and playing poker and chess with them. He was always fun to be around. His favorite pastimes also included Fantasy football, following the Padres, listening to Christian podcasts, going to church with the O'Neil's, and having long phone conversations with people he loved. He left an imprint on many lives. We'll miss him!

Steve will be remembered at a Celebration of Life gathering at the Vista Historical Society on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 1pm. Honoring his love for the ocean and his time spent surfing, Steve's ashes will be scattered at sea in a private celebration.

May he rest in peace...forever loved.
