My dear baby brother!
If only you knew how much I miss not having you around; I think of you every passing day and miss our long chats on the telephone, hearing your laugh and seeing that big smile of yours. I pray you are resting peacefully my sweetheart.

Loving you beyond words!

Your big sis,

Niece

Steve's Great Smile

Disco Generation

December 23, 2015

In the late 1970's, Steve was one of the original founding members of "Disco Generation" which was a dance group dedicated to the disco "fever" of the era. He provided energy, leadership and structure and the group swelled to over sixty members. He and Shirley could really fly around the dance floor to the "New York Hustle", which was the preferred dance at the time. As the disco era declined and dance interest waned, the group became more and more a social club. Although we didn't dance that much, we still enjoyed each others company. We found ourselves and our families taking many fun trips together all over California and other remote places. Steve was always at the heart of organizing and developing new locations to go to and exciting things to do. And, the highlight of every year was the annual Halloween party where we all dressed up in elaborate costumes and acted pretty silly most of the night. Sometimes we would even have a scavenger hunt and terrorize the neighborhood in costume. As the years went by, we all experienced the realities of life with all its many trials and tribulations. Some years were better than others. The one thing that was always constant was our group friendship and the knowledge that we would be seeing each other at least once a year at Christmas. Steve was always there to participate and guide us with his calm and gentle ways. His parting has left a huge void. We will try and fill it with remembered joy. We love and miss you Steve. Signed, Allen & LeAnn Orean, Bill & Sue Fox, Philip & Pat Charvet, John & Jean Cook, Gary & Beth Milton, Julio & Denise Monroy, Patti Torres, Russ Sutton and many others.
