Steven Scott Shaffer

A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Steven Scott Shaffer will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 1:00PM at the Lane Funeral Home, Boardman Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave., Boardman. Steve passed away Thursday evening, November 10, in Trumbull Memorial Hospital at the age of 66. He was born October 13, 1950 in Keyser, WV., the son of William and Mary Ray (Bill) Shaffer. Steve was an owner/operator leased to Motor Corp Transport in Oberlin, Ohio, retiring in 2015. He was a member of the OOIDA. In his spare time Steve enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid reader. He was a jack of all trades and loved to work on projects around the house. Steve leaves his wife the former Ginny Franklin whom he married April 11, 1997, three sons, Scott Shaffer of Sharon, PA, Ryan Wenger and Michael Shaffer both of Lordstown., five sisters, Carol Hott, Beverly (Charles) Leeson, and Terri (Jack) Sisk all of Cumberland, MD, Mary Jane Cheshire of Romney WV., and Angela (Wayne) Martell of Hagerstown, MD, as well as one granddaughter, Kaylee. Besides his parents, Steve was preceded in death by one brother, William Keith Shaffer, and one sister Willa Rose Imgrund. Friends will be received immediately following the Memorial Service until 4PM. Arrangements were entrusted to the Lane Family Funeral Homes Austintown Chapel.
