So sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He was a such good manager and asset at Airway Oxygen!You could tell he enjoyed his job (before he retired)by the way he interacted with all employees and customers. Such a kind man.

I didn't know Steven, but his sister Susan is someone I love and respect. I know he must have been a very special person just as his sister is. I am so sorry for your loss. My love, and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Steve and I worked together many many years ago back in 1971 at Gull Harbor Inn out in Richland on Gull lake. We had a lot of great times together after work riding our motorcycles. R.I.P. my dear friend. My prayers go out to his Family and Friends.

Josh, I only met your dad the one time but he made a lasting impact on me. So fun and caring. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Truly a wonderful man - I worked with Steve for 15 years. He was compassionate and caring, always taking the time to speak with fellow employees. Please find peace in your many memories of him. I am very grateful that he was a part of my life.

We've lost a good one. Steve was someone who was genuinely interested and concerned about you as a person before anything else. I am privileged to have known him and call him my friend. My heart goes out to his family today as they say goodbye. My thoughts and prayers will be with each of you. He will be missed.

Steve was a huge part of our life and Doug & I were so blessed to know him. We will keep his warm smile and enthusiasm for life in our hearts always.

Steve's energy and passion for the home medical industry can not be matched. He is an industry leader and trailblazer in so many ways (advocacy to zellous) and everything in between. Such a shock! Steve had become a regular attendee of the lunchtime meeting of the South County Social Club at the Village Hide-A-Way in Vicksburg. His constant smile and witty repartee were always appreciated. He seemed to find great satisfaction in doing kind things for others. His stool will be very hard to fill.

I had the honor and pleasure to work with Steve through the MI Home Health Association. His quick wit, wise leadership and passion for home care became a high standard of excellence for future boards and presidents. His enthusiastic advocacy for our patients and the industry created energy that accomplished great things. May God's peace uplift all of you as you treasure the intensity Steve brought to living his life with joy and purpose.

There are no words to express the joy Steve brought to so many lives nor the sorrow of learning he has died.He was the consummate leader contributing his talents to MHHA for so many years, he was a caring and special friend personally and professionally. He loved his wife Michele and his family deeply. Just thinking of Steve makes me smile through my tears.

Steve will find a way to be with us in good times and bad... May he rest in peace

I remember Mr. Slater well from work, and how he was always smiling, and going out of his way to interact with employees. He was always happy! Many times when passing by in the warehouse we would quick chat about his upcoming skiing trips and what not. He was very well respected and will be greatly missed by many.

At the Village Hideaway we were fortunate to enjoy Steve's upbeat personality and kindness. We are beyond sorry for this loss, and want you to know how appreciated his company was to so many of our customers and all of our employees. Please know our hearts are with you during this incredibly painful time and we send much love.

Steve was so passionate for the Home Medical Equipment industry serving on the Board Of Directors for MHHA and leading the group through many years. I am not even sure for how many years, I have worked with Steve through the organization, but I know that he will be greatly missed by us all. My deepest sympathies to all of his friends and family.

We are sad to hear of Steve's passing. He was a terrific man. We enjoyed his positive outlook on life and knew him to be a very loving family man. Comstock girls softball games wouldn't have been the same without him in the stands. Sending hugs to you Michelle, Joshua, Lindsey and Brittany.
