Steven Lee Snyder, 72, passed away December 25, 2022. He was born to James A. and Margie B. Snyder in Indianapolis on August 21, 1950. Steve married Ellen Kaplan (Snyder) on September 25, 1993.
He spent most of his career in the hardware industry, holding the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing prior to his retirement. A natural athlete, Steve played several sports, but he was most proud of playing football for Wabash College. You could find Steve every year, cheering at the Indy 500. He would hold his seat there for more than half a century. His interest in other cultures led him to travel to countries across three continents, including Israel, Turkey, Hong Kong and China.
He is survived by his wife, brother Jeff A. Snyder (Brooke), sister Twila S. Snyder, and sister-in-law Brenda Hetzler (Darrell). His deep love for family was felt by many. These include nephews Aaron (Katie) and Garrett (Katie) Snyder and Ajay (Star) Reves; and nieces Jamie (Lance) Conway, Genesis Snyder (Dan Renfrew), Chrissy Hardcastle, and Jessica Bartels (Chip). He also was an uncle to 15 great nieces and nephews. His parents, James and Margie Snyder, and brothers Jimmy and Phil, preceded him in death.
Services will be held at Conkle Funeral Home in Speedway, Indiana, Thursday, January 5th. Visitation hours are from 11 am to 1 pm, and the funeral service begins at 1 pm. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery, Whitestown, Indiana.

I am so very sad to hear of Steve's passing. He was a great High School friend to my husband, Dale. I imagine they are together again creating havoc among the stars. Prayers to the family at this time.
