Steven Tyler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 19, 2023.
Steven "Steve" Tyler, 75, of Fresno, CA, passed away on July 17, 2023, in San Diego, CA. Born on December 20, 1947, in Fresno, Steve was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend.

Steve was outgoing and friendly to everyone he met, always ready to strike up a conversation. He had a wealth of knowledge on various topics, including musical artists, business, government, geography, and history. Steve's love for life was evident in his ability to celebrate each day.

He is survived by his sister Sandy Green and her husband Dan Green, as well as nephews Josh Sandifer and Steve Sandifer. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. Tyler and Esther M. Tyler.

Steve attended Fresno High School and went on to further his education at Fresno State University.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Steve also served in the Army National Guard, where he made valuable contributions to the military community.

Steve dedicated almost 30 years of his career as a health care auditor for the State of California. He then transitioned into a tax preparer role, which he held for the last 25 years.

Outside of work, Steve had a passion for travel, both within the United States and internationally. He cherished spending time on his boat in San Diego and indulged in his love for reading, particularly biographies on past US presidents and rock 'n' roll musicians. Attending concerts was one of his favorite pastimes, with Jimmy Buffett being one of his favorite artists.

Friends and family are invited to gather in several locations, including Sacramento, Clovis, and San Diego, to honor and remember Steve.

Steve will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His warm personality, thirst for knowledge, and zest for life will forever be cherished in our hearts.
