Steven Robert Vallance Sr., of Alta Loma, passed away peacefully at home to be with the Lord on June,18 2018 at the age of 70. He was born August 3, 1947 in California. Preceded in life by his best friend and wife, Diana Vallance (Married August 23, 1992). Loving father to Steven "Rob" Vallance Jr., Brian Vallance, and loving stepfather to Danelle Erro, and Michelle Wilson. Caring Grandfather to Kaitlyn Vallance, Madison Vallance, Logan Vallance, Ryder Vallance, Blake Vallance, Ashtin Montalto, Kendra (Lyle) Sutton, Landon Wilson, Brenna Wilson, Chelsie Erro, Justin (Aysha) Erro and Great Grandfather to Matthew Gallardo, Audrey Erro, and Gwen Erro. Superhero brother to Pam Gordon, Diane Vallance (sister-in-law), and so many loved cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Steve was born and raised in California, except for 2 years while in High School, his family lived in Boise, ID. When they moved back to California, he went to work at a gas station that Diana's Grandfather managed. He graduated from Chaffey High School. Steven the honorable man that he was, enlisted in the United States Army and served most of his time in Germany. He then graduated from University of Southern California and California State Polytechnic University Pomona both in Business Administration. Steve had a 55-year legacy career in the Grocery Industry, holding multiple positions from Board Member to District Manager to CEO/Vice President...some of these companies included Vons (where he started at the age of 15, and worked there over 30yrs of his career), Cardenas Markets, Big Saver Foods & Super Kmart. Steve loved to travel and no matter where he was, he always enjoyed the beauty of a sunset. He loved and cherished all of his family and friends.
The family asks in lieu of flowers all contributions and donations are asked to be made out to Bethany of Montclair building fund or the food ministry fund which was very dear to Steven's heart. Services will be held at 6:00pm, Saturday July 14th, 2018 at Bethany of Montclair 9950 Monte Vista Ave, Montclair, CA 91763. A Celebration of Life will be held following the services in the fellowship hall.
