Kim and Tyler,

Many prayers to you. It was a joy growing up across the street from the three of you. I remember seeing Steve running practically each day. He was so dedicated. I always greatly appreciated his help at the college. It is an honor to have known him.

Steve was a compassionate and loving soul, Rest in peace. May God streghten his family and guide there footsteps.

Steve will be missed, as a friend and on the trails. See you friend.

In was an honor to work with Steve at Angelina College. He was a great boss, always willing to help both professionally and personally. My prayers are with his family. LaNita Gilchriest (former co-worker).

Steve was a much loved and appreciated friend and co-worker at Angelina. I am saddened to learn of his passing yet am glad his suffering is ended. My prayers are with his family.

Kim and Tyler,
This verse reminded us of Steve's journey with ALS. Hope it brings some small comfort to you. "And the Lord spake unto me, saying, Ye have comapssed this mountain long enough: turn you northward."(Deuteronomy 2:2-3) Steve is northward in Heaven and that is a praise beyond words. We love you, sweet neighbors, and will miss Steve.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Steve from the running club that my parents (Garland and Alice Parise) were involved with. I guess Steve and my dad can start a running group in heaven now. He will be greatly missed.

Tyler and Kim,
I am so very sorry for all you have been through. Memories of Steve will always bring a smile to my face--he was a great person and a joy to be around. All who were lucky enough to spend time running the roads and trails with Steve have so many wonderful memories and stories, many of which still make me laugh out loud. His compassion for animals always touched me--he loved his cats and dachshund so much and was the first person to tell me about East Texas Paws (so I guess I should thank him for my "Biscuit"--who they rescued). Steve, you will always be among us. You are now free to run again.

I will always remember Steve because of his great personality, cheerfulness and someone who always listened when you needed advice or there was a problem. He will be greatly missed.
May God wrap his loving arms around his family in their time of sorrow.
