Steven Zhang

Steven Zhang was born on April 13th, 1997, in Stockton, CA. Unfortunately, Steven was taken from us too soon on September 19th, 2023. Steven was known for being ambitious, intelligent, kind, and most distinctly, an avid learner--a theme he carried throughout his life. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in Economics and Accounting. As a skilled accountant, he lived and worked in Los Angeles, CA, where you'd likely find him surfing or throwing a football around on the weekends. In addition, Steven enjoyed honing his musical skills and could be considered a walking one-man band. Some of his favorite instruments included the guitar, saxophone, drums, trumpet, banjo, and harmonica. His melodies brought joy to those fortunate enough to hear them. Steven was an adventurer at heart; he roamed the far corners of the world, from cross country roadtrips to weeks-long escapades in Europe. A true outdoorsman, Steven enjoyed biking, backpacking, camping, and off-roading his vehicle. Steven's passion for the finer things in life was only surpassed by his generosity and kindness. He wholeheartedly embraced every moment and pursued life's grandest adventures with unwavering passion and zeal.

Steven will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Ou Ping and Michael, and siblings, Vicki, Eric, and Elaine. As we bid farewell to Steven, we cannot help but mourn the countless unwritten chapters of his life, the melodies left unplayed, the adventures yet to be had, and the moments he will never experience. In our grief, we remember a soul who lived life to the fullest, and we are left with an enduring ache for the future that could have been.

Rest in peace, lovely boy. You will be missed, but your spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

A private memorial service will be held at Colonial Rose Chapel on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023.
