I would love for Stevie's friends to share a story with his family. Stevie was a great story teller and these stories were born out of events that occurred in his life. Please share a story with his children and family as I know they are many. I previously made an entry to Stevie's Guest Book and shared my heartfelt thoughts that transpired out of my relationship with Stevie. In that entrance I so carefully not to forget the ones that I knew were near and dear to him, in doing this, I left out one Special little man, Blake, Your papaw adored you. He told me, you were just like your daddy, Chris, when he was little. This made his heart proud. The mischief you and Kaylee could get into, thrilled him to death. I know you will miss him, but you can and will always carry him in your heart.

Patsy, Leon, Chris, Joni,Micheal,Darren, and Sweet,Sweet Kaylee, and the rest of the family. I loved Stevie, he was probably the kindest person to me, I ever encountered. I use to spend hours just talking to him. You might be surprised at some of the topics we covered. I had known Stevie for years because of the relationship I had with my daddy, and Stevie and my daddy had some great times and made some really funny stories. Stevie loved nothing more than telling me stories about things that him & Bruce (my daddy) did. Sometimes he (Stevie) would get so tickled his bellie would start jiggling and you knew this was going to have an ending that could possibly be a little off color. I am so sorry we lost Stevie, I looked forward to the day when I could take him a big pot of chicken & dumplings and watch him stand over the pot with a spoon and dig in. I have thought about him so much since I moved to Texas and wondered how he was. This goes to show you, when you wonder about someone do not waste a minute until you get to them. I have no doubt that Stevie knew how I felt about him. We had a very open honest friendship. Stevie loved to get things over on me. I think this added to the highlight of his day. When he would tell me something and me being not so worldly, accepting what he said, only to find out, he was laughing uncontrollably under his breath. Probably the most fulfilling moment in my life was when all of us, tore his carpet out while he was in the hospital with his open heart surgery. When he walked in the house for the first time he had this look...well not only a look....he was Concerned! We had shoved every paper he had,(and he had a BUNCH!)in boxes and strategically placed them where we thought we knew where stuff was....Well that was our intent, does not mean that is the way it was. This was so much fun, and he loved it so much after the initial shell shock. Sweet Kaylee, and the rest of you kids, your daddy worshiped you and I am so sorry that he had to leave you. I hope that you find some comfort in his gentle ways to carry you for the rest of your lives. He lived life with one thing on his mind at the end of the day...His kids. Patsy, Leon, I know you are going to miss your brother. One thing your family did was stick together, honorably, Stevie loved you both So much and when he had seen either of you, this was the first thing he talked about. I am thinking right about now, him and my daddy are sharing some stories, smokin cigarettes and having a cup of coffee. Probably talking about some of the crazy things that happened here, since my daddy left eighteen years ago. I am positive they are keeping each other in good company. Stevie has left this world and moved on to the other one. But, I hope you find comfort in the fact, he is with his best friend pain free and having a ball. I am sure it will take a minute for my daddy to get the full details of all the times my face was so Red from embarrassment when Stevie would getta one up on me. Stevie was a kind gentle spirit and I will forever be changed by my relationship with him. Few people touch your heart on this earth that are actually just being themselves, but Stevie did, the people that really know Stevie, know exactly what I am talking about. This Kind-Hearted, Gentle Spirit, will surely be missed... Rest Well My Sweet Friend.... You are going to be missed but Never Forgotten.
