Here it is march 12 2020 and I tried to look up my old scuba diving partner Stoy Dabbs to see about future dives only to find out about his passing . Stoy was a very outgoing soul and a fun guy to be around...myself and my family are disheartened and mourn his loss. Goodbye old friend

To Stoy's family,
Stoy was a valued Spokane Mountaineer. He was an assistant instructor of our Mountain School for years, and later in life he would come to the trailheads of our hikes to see us all. Often he would ride his trike to the destination we were headed. At Quartz Mountain, he peddled the whole way, but needed a little assistance get to the fire lookout on top.
Story's involvement in our Search and Rescue was much appreciated and helped us achieve our goals.
For me, Stoy was a friend that would sit and talk to me about life's challenges and how he fought off illness by being as cutie as he could.
Stoy will be missed at the trailheads and at our other events.
I know Stoy won't rest in peace, because he always was on the move and didn't want his illness to hold him down.
My thought are with you Stoy,
