Stuart took my wife Lisa and I under his wing when we arrived at Temple Beth El in 1988. He and I were active in Brotherhhod and he got me involved on a national level. We've always kept in touch through good times and bad. We will miss his sense of humor, his willingness to go out of his way for others, and his friendship.

Stuart and I were at Hope High together; our paths went off in different directions, but I recall that he was a great kid and I see by testimony of friends that he became a wonderful man.

Stu was a senior when I was a sophomore at Hope High School so our paths did not cross. Yet, decades later, I remember him as a most attractive, friendly and bright student, My sympathies....

I am deeply saddened to learn of Stu's death. We were 1966 classmates at Brown and I often saw him over the years, and he always had a warm smile on his face. M. Charles Bakst, Providence

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Stu through MRJ and I am saddened to hear of his passing. He worked very hard for an organization he believed in deeply and I believe gave something back to him as well. He will be in many people prayers.

I am truly sorry to hear this. Stu was also one of the principal co-founders of WBRU as a rock station, with which he continued to be affiliated even after graduation. The progressive rock format, although modified, continues to this day; it is where I and dozens of other Brown graduates began our media careers. Stu was a man with a great heart and a positive influence who will be greatly missed.

I am truly saddened to hear of Stu's passing. Along with Irv, Stu was the first person I met at an NFTB Leadership Program.
Through the years he was always there with insight and advice - the majority of it right too. He also had great jokes and commentary.
Farewell my friend - your presence will be missed. May your memory be for a blessing.
