I am very sorry to hear that Stuart passed away. Condoleances to the Stuart family. We had contact with him for years about his ww2 experiences. He left his Halifax in southwestern Holland where I live. We recieved info and pictures from Stuart. We visited him once in San Diego. He is a honoury member of our Wings to Victory foundation. We will remember him. Martien van Dijk Wings to Victory

I never met Stuart, but while I was living in Geneva Switzerland, we linked up on the Internet and chatted daily for a number of years. We swapped storied about Bombers--I am a Vietnam war vet--and I even had the chance to introduce him to my father (on internet) who was a WW II Fighter Pilot. We grew close, I think, and he will be missed. "Je te plumerai" ("I shall pluck youMotto of RCAF 425 Sqdn
