Stuart Lynn Johnson

I am so sorry to hear of Stuart´s passing. My brother David and Stuart were good friends in high school, and I have great memories of Stuart at school and at our house. He was such a great guy. His sister Mariruth was also a good friend. My thoughts and prayers are with Stuart´s family.

I worked with Stuart for many years. He was kind with a unique sense of humor. He was a proud husband and spoke of his family often. He was regimented, I recall him always being in the omelet line at work at the same time each day. This was sad news to hear but I am glad he is no longer in the pain associated with illness. I hope he is enjoying those good old school tunes; rest easy friend.

I´m so very sorry to hear this news. I worked with Stuart at JPMorgan - he was such a kind person, he always made me laugh, and joked about being his twin since we shared the same birthday. I´ll miss you my friend!

I worked with Stuart at JPMorgan Chase for many years, and he was missed after he retired. He was a great coworker.

I worked with Stuart at JPMC . He always had a smile on his face and spoke lovingly about his time in San Fran and his wife and daughter. We both were in NYC for work during the blackout! It was a crazy day! He will be missed!!!

I met Stuart at the gym doing yoga. We would save spots for each other, until we got in trouble. Great sense of humor, always calm.
Last time I saw Stuart, he took me for a ride in his new Lexas. I am so sorry for your loss Sarah. I will always remember him. About two months ago I texted him to see how he was doing. He answered "I´ll be back to class soon". Rest in peace, Stuart

I first met Stu in 1978 when I also was driving a taxi. He would often sit in the cab on the Hyatt Hotel line in SF, but not staring at who comes first as passenger but rather the many electronic gadgets he explored, such as watching TV while waiting. It was the first time I saw such a small TV. He each week would bring something new, all above my dinosaur mind. He also, during that period, started running for health and the enjoyment of being outdoors, I believe, to compensate for the amount of sitting in the taxi; however, he did not just run a few miles but within months of starting he was across the GG Bridge after starting from the Marina Safeway.

He always had a calm and centered attitude towards life and his relation to Sara, his wife, seemed extraordinary. They made such a good couple, and from it came one of the more intelligent daughters I have run across, and this is coming from my professorial side, as I taught in Universities for over 30 years.

Though we did not see each other so much after he moved to Florida, we still kept contact; he would visit quite often and we would meet. Even if I did not talk with him for years, once the phone was picked up, the conversation lasted as if we just spoke the day before.

He will be missed by me as well as his other friends from San Francisco: Ron and Stan. When he came we would meet in Caffé Trieste or Simple Pleasures, two very special places in which to converse. The aura is still there.
