Stuart LANE Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 8 to Jan. 9, 2017.
LANE, Stuart Josslyn
It is with sadness yet joy to announce that our brother Stuart Josslyn Lane, age 68, went home peacefully to Jesus on December 28, 2016 after a valiant battle for 7 months with post-surgical complications. His devotion to his wife and family, and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him a peaceful rest. Stuart was born to the late Russell and Camilla Lane of Abington, Massachusetts on March 26, 1948. He was a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where he received his Bachelor's Degree in business administration. In his early career he was a successful real estate broker in Abington, Massachusetts. Stuart moved to Florida in the early 1980's, and struggled with the disease of alcoholism. In 1987 he began his second life as a sober man and remained clean and sober until his death. Stuart became a graduate of Dunklin Memorial Training Center where he received his degree as an addiction counselor in the late 1980's. He devoted his life to Faith Farms Ministries in both their Boynton Beach and Fort Lauderdale south Florida locations. At Faith Farm he counseled thousands of broken men, helping them heal from their addictions and also served as a sales manager of the Faith Farm furniture store. Stuart was blessed with a loving family. He was married for the first time on July 10, 2014 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Annie Lennon. Stuart was an admirable and humble man of God. He was kind, loving, and soft-spoken. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate knowing that he is at peace with his creator. Stuart is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Camilla Lane and is survived by his wife, Annie Lennon of Fort Lauderdale, and his stepson, R.J. In addition to his sisters, Marcia Lane and her husband James Hennessey of Jupiter, Florida, and Deborah Lane, Stuart leaves behind his niece, Crystal Gill (Nasser), her husband, Andrew Gill of Palm Beach Gardens, and his dear cousins the Waterfalls. Stuart's life was celebrated at Faith Farm Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at 7:00PM, on Wednesday January 4, 2017. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests donations to be given in his name to Faith Farm Ministries - to either of their Boynton Beach or Fort Lauderdale locations.

Stu and I shared many saunas at my family home in Massachusetts. Later when he moved to Florida not far from my parents he and I shared a lot of enjoyable dinners during my visits. Stu was a unique character who really lived his faith. Watching him wheel and deal with used furniture at Faith Farm was a show in itself.

Rest in peace my friend. Jack Ampuja

It's been many years since I last saw Stu, which was way back in the 70's. It saddens me to know that you have now gone to your resting place. My prayers are with you and your family.
