My first shared experience with Stuart was at a Democratic Meeting. He was always available to be of service and give advice.

My memory of Stuart goes way back to when he and his family, Kenneth, William, Joyce and Joan (all deceased) lived on the upper east side of Lippitt St. in Providence, Rhode Island. His brother William was married to my Aunt Ethel, and I can recall how proud the family was of Stuart. From as far back as I can remember Stuart always teased me! I had tons of laughs with him. A couple of years ago I tried to reach him via one of his children, to no avail. The last time I saw Stuart was at the University of Rhode Island in 1979! How proud I was to know that he saw that I was a student there and after hugs and lots of good wishes...we never saw one another again.
I could not end this memory without saying that his mother was a gem! She was a ghost writer for several romance magazine's back in the day. As a child I would be sitting there watching her type on what was then a huge typewriter. Stuart had a lot to be proud of as a Taylor as they did of his academic achievements.
Stuart was another fallen limb from that mighty oak tree on the East Side of Providence, RI! May he rest in peace.
To Stuart's survivor's, I send my sympathy.
