Subodh K. "S.K." Mehra

HE was a gentle man ,with compassion and a friend to my wife and I. He is missed....

It's hard to believe that eight years have elapsed since Dr. Mehra passed. I still think of him and his kindness, cheerfulness and humanity. If there were more like him there would be less of what we have going on in our news today. At least he's at peace.

So very sorry to learn of Dr. Mehra's passing. What a great doctor and special man. My parents had the privilege of having him as their doctor his entire career and had the utmost respect for him. There wasn't a visit that my Dad did not thank him for being his doctor. My deepest sympathy to his daughters and grandchildren, he could not have been any prouder of his family.

We were shocked and deeply saddened to learn today of Dr. Mehra's passing. We had the distinct privilege to be Dr. Mehra's dental providers, and we looked forward to his visits. He was always upbeat, kind, and appreciative, and was one of the truly nice people in our lives.

I am deeply saddened and stunned by Dr. S.K. Mehra's passing. Always of good cheer and kind to all I am overwhelmed with a sense of loss. He saw me thru dark medical days and was always available. If it wasn't for Dr. Mehra, Renee' and Elaine....I don't think I would be here. A wonderful doctor and I will never forget him. He was so proud of his family and it does sadden me to now offer my condolences to them. May it help to know during these days how much he was respected and admired for his compassion.

Just heard the sad news today about Dr. Mehra from Renee at the office. We moved out to Stanton almost 2 years ago and still made the trip in to see him up until he retired in Sept. , he was our doctor for many years. He was a very kind soft spoken man, but could be very firm when he needed to be. Our deepest sympathy and prayers to his family. God bless you all.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Mehra. My condolences to his family. He was my mother's Doctor for many years. He was always kind but firm. Could always laugh with us, also. He spoke with my Mom back in November, just before her death, and she wished him well for his retirement. Thank you Dr. Mehra for your years of service to our community.

I remember Subodh at AIIMS as a superb athelete, musician and a great friend. I was looking forward to seeing him at the next year alumnii meeting- our batch's 50 years. We all will miss him greatly.

Dr. Subodh Mehra and I go back since 1961 summer. He and I went to Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, in Delhi till higher seconday in May 1966. Last conversation was earlier this year before his visit to Delhi. I am in Delhi now, and we were supposed to get together after I got back from India some times later in summer. I was able to visit his brother Pramod, and mother Urmila jee last sunday. With regards to all in the family.

We are saddened to hear of the news that Dr.Mehra has passed away. He was our brilliant doctor for more years than I can remember. Our condolences go out to his family, loved ones, and cherished friends.

We spent a brief time with Subodh during his daughter Shaila's wedding. He was a charming and generous host. Our love and prayers go out to his family.

My husband and I were patients of Dr. Mehra until he retired. He always treated us with the utmost respect and kindness. We are so saddened to hear of his passing and send our condolences to his wonderful family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was a patient of Dr.Mehra's. I always felt so comfortable with him and his staff as well. Rene would always greet me with a smile and we would chat about her children and my grandchildren. Dr. Mehra was a great doctor, I loved having him for a doctor. Every once in a while, he would share life philosophies and counsel, never spoke down to me, was very patient and understanding. He had a good sense of humor. My condolences to his family. Please know he was very respected by many people. I now live in Florida, and have been out of the St. Louis area for about 6 years. A friend of mine advised me of his passing.

I am very sad to hear of Dr Mehra's death. I was one of his patients for many years. He was so kind, soft spoken and compassionate. He listened to every question I had and also answered them.
My condolences to the family - I know he loved his family very much. As Grandfathers, we shared and compared notes about our grandchildren. He smiled so big when he talked about them and shared his experiences with them.

We are deeply saddened by untimely passing of subodh. He was our classmate in Medical School (AIIMS). We will always remember his exuberant energy and great sense of humor.He will be greatly missed. May his soul rest in peace.

I am saddened to hear the news about Subodh. I had a great honor to know hin for almost 50 years. We were together at Hans Raj College for Pre Medical and then at AIIMS. He was a fierce competitor. I have great memories of Subodh during our time together.

My heart is saddened as I write this message. Dr. Mehra was my first "boss" when I worked at South Side Medical Group way back in 1986. This became a friendship that I treasured as I moved away from STL.
It has been wonderful to stay in touch via email and the Holiday cards! I still can hear the joy and excitement about Dr. Mehra being a "nanaji"! Our thoughts are with Shaila, Anjali and the family.

My husband and I are so very sorry for your loss. Dr. Mehra was our doctor for over 20 years. He was very knowledgeable about medicine and he cared about his patients. He will be missed by all. My deepest condolences to the family. Subodh was the nicest man I ever met. Compassionate, caring, cheerful,filled with laughter and mirth, he was the person you always liked being around. He cared deeply for his daughters and grandchildren, was loyal and supportive to his friends, dedicated to his patients. In bad times and good he never seemed to change. It was an honor to be his friend. It was a blessing being in his presence. I am sure he will find the perfect celestial foursome to continue his golf passion. Rest in peace you good man.
