Sue Brittan Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 6, 2024.
Suzanne "Sue" Louise Brittan, 54, of Superior, WI, passed away from Covid on January 24, 2024, at home. She was born on July 29, 1969, in Superior, WI, to Pamela McGraw and the late Tommie Brittan.

Sue was known for her generous and thoughtful nature, as well as her independence and stubbornness. Her favorite color was purple, and she was always ready for a road trip or a game of Bingo. Sue enjoyed painting rocks (and hiding them for others to find), diamond painting, and was an awesome cook. In the 90s, she talked on the CB radio with the handle "Lipstick."

Sue was known by many and often found herself in caretaker roles, as she had a passion for helping others when she could. She was a fierce protector of those whom she cared about. She previously worked for Essentia, Challenge Center, and drove taxi cabs in Duluth and Superior, which she was planning to return to, at the time of her death.

Sue's presence is greatly missed by her mother, Pam McGraw; children, Bryce Brittan and Mylo Flynn; siblings, Vicky (Jon) Zak, Jay (Liz) Brittan, Trace Topping, Bill Barthen, Jodie Brittan, and Shawnna (Derek) Jaeger; stepmother, Marcia Brittan; stepbrothers, Jeffrey Koch, Todd (Sheila) Koch, and Tom Koch; nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins; as well as many "adopted" family members, who lovingly called her "Sue Ma" and "Sue B."

Sue was also preceded in death by stepdad, Frederick Koch; grandparents, Bryce and Vickie Brittan, and Ralph and Jeannette McGraw; special friend, Rita Bergstrom; Uncle Timmie Brittan; and her beloved dog, Diamond.

Interment held at the Brittan family plot at Gordon Cemetery on Sunday, July 28, 2024.
