Sue Neff

Sue Neff, 67, of North East, passed away, Sunday, December 12, 2010, at her residence. She was born on November 8, 1943 in North East, Pa. a daughter of the late Ernest T. and Beatrice (Bettie) Bilz Stetson. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North East. Sue and her husband Victor owned and operated the family dairy farm in North East. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, canning and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald S. Perkins in 1963. Sue is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Victor A. Neff, whom she married August 19, 1966; one son, Vic Neff and his wife, Laura, of North East; four daughters, Martie Holtz and her husband, Kevin, of Buffalo, N.Y., Karla Dascomb and her husband, Scott, of Sherman, N.Y., Vanise Shea and her husband William of Windsor Locks, Conn. and Korene Neff and her companion Tim Hanson of North East; one sister, Margaret Beers and her husband, Fred, of North East; one sister-in-law, Wilma Meyferth and her husband, Tom, of Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Lynn Orton and her husband, Robbie, Jeffrey Holtz, Matthew Dascomb, Brie, Halie and Makena Shea, Makayla and Makinly Hanson, and Levi, Mason, and Victoria Neff; and one great-grandson, R.J. Orton. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, Pa. on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend funeral services there on Thursday at 11 a.m. Rev. David Kuchta will officiate.
