I'll always wonder what our rekindled friendship would have meant to me (and to my daughter). Sue and I had been e-mailing each other, planning to get together soon, and excited to have 'found' each other again. As children, and into our teenage years we were neighbors and best of friends. I'll never forget how much fun she was to be around and how she made me laugh. To Sue's family and close friends, my thoughts and prayers have been and will continue to be with you; may the memories of the wonderful times you shared sustain you through this difficult time.

Wherever a beautiful soul has been, love will still bloom like the gardens Sue loved so much. Whenever I was in her presence, her quick wit and sunny smile always made my day brighter. She was wonderful to volunteer with and my fondest memories of Sue will probably spring forth every time the Garden Show blossoms each year. We'll keep you in our prayers, as will others, and hope that our collective hugs & support lift and comfort all of you. Our deepest sympathies to you..........

I have just learned this evening of Sue's passing. To say I am in shock is an understatement! Sue and I had recently reconnected on facebook after nearly 20 years. We graduated together from John Bapst in 1986, and spent many many days laughing...and laughing and laughing!
I want you to know that my very first memory of Sue, was the first day of school at Bapst. We were both new and from smaller area schools and didn't arrive with a "click" of friends. I can still see her smile and the plaid skirt and fancy white shirt she was wearing as she walked across the auditorium and greeted me with a big smile, and said..."are you feeling like this is a bit overwhelmng?"
I have never forgotten that. Her spirit to reach out and make me feel comfortable and with a warm smile. We became friends that day and I was so happy to reconnect with her.
I am just so sorry to hear this news. On behalf of our graduating class from Bapst, I offer you peace and comfort during these days of sadness.
She was a light in the darkness to say the least!

Those who knew Sue know this: She was all about friends and laughing and love. She made happy times happier and tough times a whole lot more tolerable. That's how I remember her as a co-worker and friend. Sue Ellen, I just saw you at the CMN Telethon a few weeks ago. It had been quite some time. You were as warm and radiant as ever. That makes this so much tougher to take. I am so grateful that I had one more moment with you, one more heartfelt hug, one last big laugh to share. My final memory of you is a big, beaming smile accompanied by those full of life, and full of it, eyes. Please add this to your list of things to do in the place where you now find yourself---give my regards to John Gielgud and Dudley Moore. They will enjoy you. I will miss you.

Love,

Jim

Funny, bright and a contagious laugh. This is how I remember Sue. We became friends at Emerson College and recently reconnected. She was a wonderful person who was always able to make your day better. It could range from a quick smile - all the way to a full teary-eyed guffaw: Sue knew how to make any situation fun. Looking back, I have only great memories of my time spent with her. My condolences go out to Sue's extended family for your loss. She and all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sue was one of the most clever and witty people I have ever known. We lived together for one semester during our junior year of college, and I was never the same again (nor were our neighbors!). We laughed so hard and had so much fun... it should have been illegal! My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Scott, Judi and Bill (and the entire extended Perkins family). I will miss her great expressions and wonderful zest for life. This is a tremendous loss for all...

God now has a true angel by his side. Sue radiated love and joy, and I'm so glad that she and I reconnected recently since being close friends and roommates at Emerson. Our conversations were filled with topics ranging from the joy of giving to others to her expressing her appreciation for all of life's blessings, including her loving family. Her passing is a true shock and such a great loss. I send my heartfelt condolences to her family - may you find strength in your memories and live life to the fullest as Sue would have wanted you to do.

I knew Sue at Emerson College as a funny, joyful, and strong person. From all of the entries in this guest book, it appears that never changed. I am very sorry for her family's loss. She touched many lives.

Judi & Bill,
We were so sorry to hear of your loss, our thoughts are with you. May you find comfort from the times you enjoyed together ~ the laughter and the joy as someone so special can never be forgotten. I found it will be the little things that you will remember; the quiet moments, the smiles, and the laughter; and although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again.

Thanks to a mutual freind, I was just beginning to become a member of her dear circle of friends. The little time I spent with her made me understand why this woman was so loved. It was a tremendous shock to lose her. I am grateful that I spent some time with this amazing woman. I truly believe that God brought her into my life, even if only for a brief time. He wasn't about to let my life pass without me knowing her, and I thank Him for that. My thoughts and prayers to your family and friends who have lost a beautiful soul. Rest in peace my friend.

My Prayers and thoughts go out to Sue's Family and AMAZING circle of friends. She spoke so fondly of everyone. My heart is broken. She had a personality that shined brighter than the Sun and a heart as BIG as the Universe! I will miss her greatly. But I strongly believe that she'll be coming soon to say her goodbyes before she rests in peace. She will probably come in a dream or maybe in a strangers face. But I will see you again my friend! Hope you have a Fantastic Birthday up there amongst all those Fabulous Celebrities and dear friends! Oh and if you do come visit... do you think you can bring MJ, Jim Morrison and Jeff Buckley with you? I will miss you, I love you and always will! Peace & Love my soul sista. Peace & Love

Bill, Judi & Family-

If I write something here, my girl is gone. And she isn't is she? I thank you for sharing her with us and can't fathom what you all are feeling but know that, if possible, she beamed when she wrote of her family, and her boys...so proud to be your "Auntie Sue." Her heart always full and unwavering in sharing it with all. As many have said before me, Sue was about the joy, love, support and giggles and now, hopefully kickin' back listening to Sugarland and relaxing by the pool knowing her work here is done but will always warm our hearts when we need it.

Scott, Danielle, Will & Danielle

You have all been in our thoughts these last several days. We are deeply sorry for your loss. Scott, your sister was always such a pleasure to sit by at Will's games. She was so proud of him and the other boys -- I know how close your family was and an unexpected loss like this, does truly put life into perspective. From what I am reading, your sister was an amazing person and was obviously an angel needed up above. Our thoughts are with you. Jeremy, Shelley, Kay & Sierra Snow

I was so sad and shocked to hear of Sue's passing. I will never forget what a blessing and wonderful friend she was to me during some very difficult times. She was always a ray of sunshine and one of the funniest people I've ever known. While we lost touch in recent years, she was always in my heart. My deepest deepest sympathies. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

June 24, 2010

It's always with deep sadness, with deep loss that things like this come upon us. But that's contrary to ever fiber of Sue's being. Every single memory I have and hold of her is one of smiles. Of laughter. Of kindness. "One of a kind" is a wildly overused term, but it's completely applicable here.

I mourn not for her life, but for all of us who are lessened by her passing. The world is a darker place without her in it.

You were one of the good ones, Sue-Bee. I'll miss you, I pray for your family, and I love ya, kid. Thank you for everything.

So saddened to hear the loss of someone who I remember from my childhood and was looking forward to getting together with (a LADIES day!!) in the very near future. I remember her from grade school...many bus rides home and to school with this fine young lady! To the Perkins family...you are in my thoughts and prayers. Words will never do justice to your loss. I hope you can take solace in knowing that she is remembered by all who attended school with her.

We do not have a single memory over the last 24 years that doesn't have Sue in it. We were all very lucky to have Sue in our lives. She loved my children like they were her own, and she was the best "Auntie Sue" my kids could have had. She was a warm and loving person, with a huge heart and an incredible sense of humor. She will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.
Bill, Judi, Scott and family, you all are in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time. Sue was an amazing woman and she loved you all very much.
With our deepest condolences.

Well, they say only the good die young. That certainly is the case here. She loved her family and friends very much and was always talking about them, especially her parents, brother and his kids. I have no doubt she was the best "Auntie" in the world and was loved back just as much by all who knew her. My deepest sympathies to her family and the old "Bryand Rd. Gang". We'll miss you so much, Sue. You were a beautiful human being and a true friend.

Been wanting to get in touch for ages and finally found her on Facebook. She was a great friend always there with a kind word , always knew just what to say. I was so happy to have "found" her again.
