Sunil Patel Obituary
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Sunil Patel on October 1, 2015 at the age of 37.
Sunil is survived by his parents Praful and Jayshree Patel; sister Sonel and brother-in-law Ashit Patel; nieces Aasha and Avani; his beloved Kathy; many uncles, aunts and cousins throughout Canada, United States and England.
Sunil was born June 21, 1978 in Broadview, Saskatchewan. He moved to Winnipeg at the age of 12 where he graduated from Silver Heights Collegiate in 1995. As a child he enjoyed playing hockey, skating, skiing and creating art.
Sunil attended University of Manitoba where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 1998, followed by Doctor of Medicine in 2002.
Sunil completed his specialization in internal medicine and cardiology through which he became a highly skilled and respected physician. He enjoyed mentoring and maintaining an active teaching role.
Sunil was a vital member of the Concordia community practicing at Concordia Hospital and Concordia Health Associates.
Sunil was a generous, patient and kind individual and conscientious and brilliant clinician.
Sunil had a passion for cars, design, fashion, art, photography and technology. He was our go to handyman and could fix anything. He was a master scrabble payer.
He will be remembered with great fondness as a kind-hearted, loving and witty spirit.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sunil's life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Siloam Mission or The Concordia Foundation.
Sunil, you will be forever missed, you will be in my heart, always be loved. Your beautiful radiant smile will guide me until we meet again. Rest in peace.
God has taken my sweet angel back to his Kingdom.

My sincere condolences to Sunil's family. He will be missed. He had a fantastic sense of humour and a sense of adventure. Always well dressed, he had a keen sense of style. He remained humble despite his impressive intellect and connected with people both in the medical profession and outside of the field. He cared deeply about the welfare of his patients. He was a non-judgmental person who truly cared about people in a compassionate way. He was determined, decisive and always punctual. I will miss him.

Sunil was superb physician and a fine human being. He was very kind and caring to all. He only did good in this world and his mission was to help people. I feel a great sadness and hope that good memories of Sunil comfort his dear parents and sister who are so hurt by his loss. Sunil accomplished great things in his short life and he will be always be remembered with fondness.
