EDINA, MN - It is with a mix of sorrow and a splash of sunshine that we bid farewell to Sunny Yee, age 57, who left us on July 30, 2023, to join the celestial realms. Born on May 29, 1966, in China, she glowed with a zest for life that electrified all who knew her. From her vibrant personality to her dedicated career in the financial industry, Sunny's light was an inspiration to many.
Sunny spent her days motivating financial friends with more designations than you can shake a calculator at! She was the epitome of high performance and dedication when it came to her work.
Sunny basked in the glow of her favorite pastimes. You could often find her peacefully twisting her way through yoga poses or cheering on her favorite hockey stars Grifin and Gavin from the side boards. And let's not forget her passion for exploring the wide world. From breathtaking mountains to sandy beaches, Sunny cherished every moment of her globetrotting adventures.
To those she leaves behind, Sunny's radiance will forever illuminate their lives. She is survived by her adoring sons Griffin and Gavin Dyka, her loving spouse Derrik Dyka, her sparkle-spreading siblings Jim, Fai, and Connie Yee, and her beloved mother Lil Yee.
In honor of Sunny's brilliant spirit, a Celebration of Life is scheduled for August 20, 2023. Join us at the Braemar Golf Clubhouse from 2pm to 5pm for an afternoon filled with laughter, love, and joyful memories of our golden girl.
As a treasured twist, 300 engraved memory stones will be available for friends and family. Place them in your garden, set them in a spot truly dear to you, or carry them to the most awe-inspiring destinations as a testimony to Sunny's eternal wanderlust.
Remember, at this celebratory affair, the attire may be a touch eventful, but it's ultimately fancy yet relaxed. Savor delightful appetizers and ample refreshments while they last, or unleash your inner mermaid or prince charming at the cash bar nearby.
Though Sunny has embarked on a new enlightening journey, her effervescent spirit will forever twinkle in our hearts. Join us in saying farewell to a ray of light that brought warmth to our lives, and in celebrating a soul who radiated love, laughter, and luminosity to all fortunate enough to have crossed her path.
