I have so many memories of time spent at the Almon home when Sue made it in Arlington, McLean, and Connecticut. It is funny how memory works but every time I peel a peach I remember 50 years ago when Mrs. Almon taught me her trick of peeling in one long spiral. I can still see her smile from that day. I am sorry for your loss. I hope you are comforted by the thought that heaven is probably the only place with enough coffee for Sue, Betty, and Mary to catch up properly.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loved and deepest condolences are extended to you. Something that's helped me through the death of loved ones is to reflect on 1 Corinthians 15:26.

We were so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. She was such a warm loving person. Qualities I'm sure you all are aware of. After our Mother, Mary Margaret Almon Shields, passed, Aunt Susan made a point of keeping in touch with us. She had such interesting stories. You all must have some beautiful memories to comfort you through these difficult times. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
