Sue McIntyre

During her rugby days Sue and I played on the same team. I remember Sue as smart, fun, competitive, and wise. Our lives moved in different directions and I only recently learned of Sue's later life and passing. This obituary is a wonderful historical life celebration. Thank you for sharing so much about Sue.
I am honored to have known her and call her friend.

I never met Susan, but this is a fantastically written obit. I hope someone writes like that about me and that I meet Susan in the next adventure. Condolences and love to all who loved her.

I was just texting to my best friend tonight (whom I have a great fondness for) on some meandering topics, and out of the blue I started recounting the month Susan and I connected with each other. She showed me that month how great a relationship could be after only talking with her a couple times and a friendly lunch date. I feel very broken at the moment knowing she's on her next adventure without us and I will never be able to enjoy just hangin' and sharing space & time with again. You touched my heart Susan and I miss you so very much.

Sue - we talked so deeply whenever we talked, and you prepared me for so much that happened later in life by teaching me to widen my viewpoint and laugh. You made me feel good about myself, and I only hope that I returned that gift adequately. You were unique and more wonderful than you knew.

The word of your passing has just reached your Smith Class Connector, Susan dear -- and will soon be out to all of Emerson first, and eventually the entire class via the Quarterly. I have wonderful e-mails from you as your Merchant Marine career began -- I only wish we had known of the harder times of late so that we could have been of more support. Blessings to all who were there for Susan -- we treasured her.

So grateful to have met you in 518. The writer of your obit was amazing. If it hadnt been for you i would have left a particular situation in the 518 region. A truely amazing women, with wisdom, personal knowledge, i suppose. Thank you for your kind words at that time. And we wrote each other bc i had no close family. I want to live a live fullfilled just like you did.

Ah, Susan. Every interaction we had was intense and refreshing. Even when it was difficult. You taught me things. Some by example, some by calling me out. Hard lessons, just the way we like them. Rather than breaking my heart, you nudged me toward opening it. Gal, your pluses far outweighed your minuses! Maybe you know that now. And that you are missed. By me and so many. Rest easy. You so earned it.

I have memories of Susan's help and care in my life and that of my first dog some 30 years ago. A woman I will always think of with admiration and gratitude for having known her.

Beautifully written about Susan. Many memories of Susan over the years. My favorite time with her was as her roommate at Chit Chat Westfield in 1992. She made me laugh, she was kind , and she read me stories, one of which was The Velveteen Rabbit.
So sorry that you are gone my dear friend. ❤
