Susan Tripp Bringhurst "Sue", 72, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2022, with her loving husband by her side. She was born November 10,1949, in Salt Lake City to LeRoy C. Tripp Jr. and Elsie Tripp. She grew up in the California Bay Area, graduating from Crestmoor High School in 1967. At the College of San Mateo Institute, she met her husband-to-be during their first semester. They both then attended BYU.

Sue married Paul H Bringhurst on December 29, 1971, for time and all eternity, in the Oakland Temple. After moving several times with the Army, they eventually made their home in Orem UT.

Sue was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints her entire life. She served in many leadership and teaching positions in the Church, creating memorable lessons for the youth and primary.

Sue and Paul raised 5 wonderful children, and being a wife and mom were her most cherished roles. She loved to create "Super FHE's" for her family, and surprising them on holidays or special occasions with her thoughtful crafts.

Sue was very gifted in teaching and loving the youth, creating lasting relationships with many whom she taught. She was exceptionally skilled with many creative talents, especially scrapbooking. She loved to cook meals for her family, as well as make and decorate cookies. She was an avid reader who taught her young children to read. She loved journaling and writing poems.

The family would like to express our love and appreciation for iCare Home Health and Hospice Services, especially nurses Kristy and Kori, the staff at the Ashford Assisted Living, and all the medical personnel that have assisted through the years.

Sue is survived by her husband, Paul H Bringhurst, and children Noelle (Mike), Jared (Lisa), Carrie, Erin (Jason), Kimber (Brian), stepmother Gerry Tripp, brothers LeRoy C. Tripp III and Richard Thomas Tripp, sisters Denise Curti and Vickie Tripp, and 17 grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy C. Tripp Jr. and Elsie May Thompson Tripp.

Graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah. Please share a favorite memory or message of condolence with her family at larkincares.com.

My husband and I soon met Sue and Paul at Ashford Assisted Living. I quickly felt a sweet spirit while getting acquainted with them. Sue told me she liked my shirt and I told her she had such pretty nails. There was always a slight smile on her face, eyes bright and shinny. I knew they were a devoted couple as I watched Paul's loving attention to Sue. I will truly miss her friendship.

Susan and her children were a big part of our first 10-15 years living here across the street from her and Paul when we both built our houses in 1985. Our children were about the same age and their oldest daughter Noel was our favorite babysitter. Their daughter Kimber was a fun playmate of our daughter Kami and at our home frequently. I and my wife Debi had so many interactions with Sue and Paul as neighbors, church members, and as friends that they were like family. As her health worsened I was able to spend time with her and Paul and help out in some ways. My favorite last meme our of her before they moved was when she and Paul came to our house for a dinner with friends and the memories started to come back to her and she stated talking and laughing a lot. She will be missed.
