I still have a hard time believing Susan is never coming back. My last memory, I think, was having lunch in Susan and John's backyard. We always had interesting conversations and good, healthy food. She generously came to support me when Lars was in hospice in Cambridge. She is visually etched into my memory.

I just started a tribute for Susan and sent it before I was finished.
I was friends with the Chused family back in the 50s and 60s living in Matapan. We used to hang out and just do what kids do while growing up! I just saw the notice for Susan and was devastated to see the news. My condolences go out to her entire family. So sorry to see this.

I didn't know Susan well, but have met her many times at art shows and with friends. Last April Susan and Lisa Harries Schumann met me at the Newton Arts Center to see Sarah Kahn's show of collages. We had great visit (see photo below). I joined Lisa and Susan for lunch at a nearby restaurant. Somehow it came up that I had tons of raspberries in my backyard and immediately Susan described what sounded like a delicious raspberry coulis. I came home and have been making it ever since. So Susan lives on with me in this wonderful reminder and all who share in those raspberries! We had a great conversation that day - far-ranging and thoughtful about so many things. My heart goes out to her family!

We had a wonderful time with Cassandra at the Boston public library tea service. Susan was so caring and considerate with her best friend.

I remember meeting Susie when I visited Judy and Jeff in Boston. I was about 16 at the time. As the years went on we saw each other from time to time, mostly at family events like weddings and showers. I know from Judy what an accomplished chef she had become and heard about her husband, son and now daughter in law. It was very sad to hear of her passing. She and her family are in our thoughts.

I will truly miss seeing Susie's face in our Qigong classes. Now, as the ancients say, she has "dissolved into golden light". Her spirit continues to shine in our memories. Sending all my sympathy and condolences to her family and everyone who knew and loved her.
