Charlene´s passing was entirely too soon. I so enjoyed knowing her through our Girl Scout troop´s activities. She had such a distinctive voice and infectious laugh. This writing is after her service. I left feeling uplifted (first time experience after a funeral service) because the music reflected a celebration. I honor her memory along with her family and friends.

In loving memory of my dear sister. Our cruise together to New Zealand was a precious time of sharing and caring. Charlene was always full of ideas creative ways of doing thing, and just plain fun. Family times in Canada were a celebration of her love and friendship that are deeply anchored in us. Our Canadian family will miss her greatly. So much fun and joy together. Bless you Charlene as you now can experience God's great Love for you after a life full of adventure and generosity. Thank you Tom for comforting her in her last days. Grateful for Christine and Michelle's families for loving on her so extravagantly! The photos are awesome. Love you all from Canada. Barbara & Jim

I was invited to Charlene´s house to do facials with our daughters. From the moment I met her I felt we were friends. She was so sweet and friendly. We laughed most of the day sharing our love of teaching & children. I was fortunate to see her again at Michelle´s bridal shower & wedding. These were beautiful occasions and she was the beaming mother of the bride. We managed to have a breakfast date years ago. We continued to talk about our kids. Typical proud mom stuff. I was fascinated by her travels & life experiences. She was so genuine and humbling. She was a lovely person and I am happy to have met her. She will be missed. Love & prayers for her family.
With deepest sympathy,
Grace, Dave Atterbury, & Family

As a member of one of her home daycare classes 30+ years ago, I still to this day have the happiest memories of packing in the back of the station wagon and taking trips to the local farm to feed the goats, having the most epic of
food fights in her family´s very own backyard, and having the most fun and creative learning experience under her coaching within the Odessey of the Mind program at Clemmons Elementary. To Ms. Charlene, thank you for being such a bright light and cultivating a space where children could safely learn and grow. My condolences to the family for your loss. Much Love to all of you. Alex Poholsky.
