I have a void in my heart that cannot be filled but I have memories I can keep forever. Susan was the kind of friend that would do anything to help someone. She was my best friend from 6th grade college through college in Emporia. After that we lived in different states but stayed in close touch and our friendship stayed important to both of us. She had so many gifts to offer people...her laughter, her heart for helping, her pursuit for justice for those who couldn't fight for it, her outlook on living and giving. She will be missed by so many and I feel so fortunate we had 65 years as friends. Love you Suz!!

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Susan's passing. She was the maid of honor at our wedding in 1968. She was Ann's classmate at KSTC. No one ever had a bigger heart or made life more fun. Our condolences to her family and friends.

I am so sorry for your loss! I have known Susan for many years as a colleague in USD 490. She had my daughters in school and was an excellent teacher. Most of all, I will miss her as a neighbor. She lived just down the street from me and I will miss her warm and friendly honk and wave as she drove by.

There are people who make you smile when their name is mentioned. . . Susan was one of those . . .and we smile because she generated laughter, fun and friendship wherever she was . .. .always! I am shocked to learn of her passing and deeply saddened. She helped formed some of my best high school memories. She leaves a wonderful legacy of laughter and love.

So saddened to learn of the passing of Susan. I substituted for her many times while she was at EMS. We became friends and in retirement, we often walked the track together at the YMCA. She had a terrific sense of humor and was a very dedicated teacher to her students and a good friend. May God hold you in His arms and your family are in my prayers and thoughts at this time of loss.

We loved Susan and saw her almost every time we came to Wichita. She was always good for some humorous stories and jokes. We had a really great time at our cabin in Bondurant, Wyoming a few years ago when she and Tommie came to visit. We will miss her dearly.
