Susan S. Finman

Susan S. Finman, 87, died on September 20, 2022, in Sarasota, Florida, following a lengthy illness. Susan was born in Newark, NJ, to Harold and Lillian Siegel, and grew up in Elizabeth, NJ. She graduated from Emerson College with a degree in Speech Therapy. While in Boston, she met her future husband, Gordon Finman. Susan and Gordon settled in Edison, NJ, where they raised three children before relocating to Princeton and, ultimately, Sarasota. Susan loved cooking and entertaining, attending theater and opera performances, travelling, golfing and playing tennis. Most of all, she adored her family and especially her grandchildren.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard. She is survived by Gordon, her husband of 65 years; her children, Laurence (Cynthia Pearson), Bruce (Marie) and Nancy; and her granddaughters, Kate and Julia.

A celebration of life will be scheduled later in the year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan's memory to Planned Parenthood.
