Susan Henderson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 30, 2024.
Susan Irene Henderson (née Badger), affectionately known as Susie or Sue, passed away on August 27, 2024, in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, at the age of 67. Born on March 11, 1957, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, she was a beloved figure in her community and a source of strength and inspiration to her family and friends.

Susan was a proud graduate of Norristown Area High School, class of 1975. Her career spanned over two decades at Yellowbook, USA, where she dedicated herself to her work until her retirement. Following her time at Yellowbook, Susan continued to impact lives as a bus aide for the Methacton School District, where she formed cherished relationships with many special needs children.

A fighter by nature, Susan triumphed over cancer and embraced life with vigor and joy. Family was her cornerstone, and she cherished annual vacations with her loved ones, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Susan's hobbies included reading, solving crossword puzzles, exploring flea markets, and visiting quaint small towns. She also enjoyed regular breakfast and lunch dates with her friends. Above all, spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her the greatest joy.

Susan is survived by a loving family: her mother, Constance Badger; her husband, Alfred Henderson; her brothers, Douglas and Bruce

Badger; her daughters, Toni Bush, Tara Hamaday, and Samantha Henderson; her grandchildren, Alexandra and Devon Bush, Michael and Shane Hamaday, Lauren Bush, Dean Hamaday, and Madison Guzman; and her sons-in-law, Joseph Bush and Michael Hamaday. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Badger, and her aunt, Nancy Grimley.

A memorial service will be held at Evansburg United Methodist Church, located at 3871 Germantown Pike, Collegeville, Pennsylvania, 19426, 10am September 4, 2024. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Susan's memory can be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, honoring her love for animals and her compassionate spirit.

Susan's legacy is marked by her resilience, her unwavering commitment to her family, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

So sorry to hear of Sue´s passing. I worked at Methacton with her. Part of my job in HR was to work closely with the bus aides. Sue was always willing to help with our special needs kiddos. She was requested by parents as well. She will be missed by many.

I'm a Bus Aide at Methacton like Sue was. Have only been there a little over a year but had worked with Sue many times. Was devastated when I heard the news.Going to miss seeing and talking to her everyday.

Susan and I worked together for over a decade at Yellowbook/Hibu. Affectionately known as "Badger" she was always so kind but you could count on her being honest and real! I saw her the last time in 2015 and we talked about our mutual love of camping and discussed trying to make a trip happen. She loved Elvis and a good White Russian. Our annual team meetings were always fun when Sue was in the house. My deepest condolences to her girls, grandkids, Al and family. She was a very special woman!

I worked with Susan at HIBU for many years. We ate lunch together and just talked and had fun and laughed a lot. The one thing I remember about Susan she loved Elvis. She had a real size cut out of Elvis at her desk. Susan will surely be missed.

Me. Sue, that´s what my son and all the kids she cared for her called her. Ms. Sue was truly special. Her heart was huge and filled with love and so much patience. She made the 30 minutes bus rides fun by being silly with her kids. My son would get off the bus laughing, excited to tell me what he did with Ms. Sue on the bus that day. I´m devastated that she is gone and she will be missed greatly.
