Robert and Family. We are very sorry about your loss. We did not know or else we would have been there. I remember the "Great Milkshakes" Susan made for you, Jacques, Brian and me when we used to play football in the park bedside Mutual Dairy. That was some 40 years ago Robert but it seems just like yesterday.
Again we are so sorry we missed the funeral and again to you and your family our deepest and heartfelt sympathy on your loss.

I just recently found out about Mrs. Henry's passing. She was my grade 8 teacher at St. Mark's in Manotick - I believe it was the first year she was teaching there. I don't think our class was always the kindest to her - but she was always gentle while firm with the students. I remember quite a few lessons that she taught - more of the life lessons than actual academic lessons. I wish I could have seen her before she passed - if for no other reason than to say thanks for having a hand in shaping my character. My condolences to her family.

Dear Bob: I hope you and the girls and Hayden feel all of the love being sent to you from The Bahamas...I am so proud that you allowed me to be the one to tell Mrs. Henry's students about her passing - it was such an honor...And, as you can see from their entries she will always be in all of their hearts and their minds...Suzi...

What can I say about Mrs. Henry? Well, I remember when i first met her back in 6th grade when I was the only boy with 5 girls and Mr. Brown. She was my science teacher and I remember thinking, "Wow! she's so perky!" She got me and everyone else in my class a flute from Peru and I still have it in my room. At the end of the year, she invited all of us to her house for a luncheon. Lia, Natalie, Linnea and I went. It was great. Mrs. Henry made an amazing lunch and we had such a great time.
Soon, Mrs. Henry was my English teacher. One of the best things about that year was that we read "The Pigman" I mean, this book was about love, alcohol, smoking, and death! Some pretty big topics for an 8th grade class.
I never worked harder on anything in my life!
The last time I saw Mrs. Henry was when I visited her in the hospital. Even though she looked so small and frail in the bed, she was so happy to see me and we talked for an hour. I will always remember that last visit.
Mrs. Henry, you were an inspiration to me. You were and will always be one of my favorite teacher because, more than anything, you believed in me and I believe in you. The world is missing one hell of an English teacher and so am I. SOOOO MUCH!! I'm glad that you were able to pass into the next life easily and with all your family around you and I know you are up there right now smiling down on me. I miss you so much and I love you unequivocally.
Sincerely and with all the love in the world,
Bianca Wagner

Mrs. Henry was an amazing woman. She taught me so much more than my subjects in the three years that I knew her. She is part of who I am today, and will have a place in my heart forever.

Bob, Elyse, Theresa, and family,
We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Although Christine and I only met her on a short trip to Nassau, she was so welcoming into her home and was such a gracious host. It wasn't hard to see what a caring and nurturing person she was, and how people would just be drawn to her. She truly will be missed. The world has lost an amazing person.

Mrs.Henry was the most wonderful English teacher I have ever known. I was totally shocked when my friend told me about her passing. She was the one that introduced me to poetry and my love for literature. My family and I will defiantly keep her family and especially her husband in our prayers. She has done wonders for me and Tambearly School. She will surely be missed.

To all of The Henry Family,
It is with such a heavy heart that we reach out to all of you with our love and support. On the very day that you said good bye to your angel Sue, our daughter Bianca began her first day at boarding school. A school specifically chosen to help her fulfill her dream to become a writer. It was Sue Henry that helped Bianca see her potential as a writer. She will forever be Thomas, Bianca and Lili's loved and cherished teacher, and friend.
Sincerely,
Kiki, Lisa, Peter, Bianca, Lili and Thomas.Nassau, Bahamas

Sue was so much more than a teacher to the many students that were lucky enough to be in her classes and I know that her legacy will have a lasting impact on each of their lives.
There is most likely very little that I can say that will assuage the anguish felt by her loved ones, but I would hope that you can find comfort in the understanding that Sue will always be remembered as a special teacher, a beloved colleague, and a loving friend.

I am so sorry to hear about Mrs.Henry. She was an amazing teacher and woman who will never be forgotten. She will be missed by everyone she ever taught because she helped everyone tremendously, in more ways than one. I will never forget her because she was always there to talk to and help if anyone ever needed it. I know that everyone who ever got the pleasure of meeting her will miss her greatly. I know I will. You and your family will be in my prayers. She will always be in our hearts.

I'm really sorry to hear Mrs.Henry has passed. She was the best teacher I've had at Tambearly School out of my 10 years there. I really hoped she was going to fight her way out of this. She always wanted the best for all of her students she ever taught. I know anyone that Mrs.Henry taught, has done extremely well in life because of what she's taught them. Mrs.Henry never gave up on me even when i had a really hard time understanding something in class and i will miss her deeply.

I really thought that she would be seen in Tambearly School again helping students reach their goals like always, but to me her greatest aspect was that she manages to make all of her classes strive harder while having fun doing it. Even after she left we continued the hard work inspired by her, Mr. Jenkins (our literature teacher last year) was even shocked about how much effort we gave in literature class that she previously taught. I know she will be remembered and she will always have a place in everyone's heart. She is in mine. Mrs. Henry IS the best teacher i had and i'm going to miss her dearly. -Tambearly Student

Dearest Family of Sue Henry,
I join with so many others who knew Sue in offering our deepest sympathy on her passing. Although it is little consolation at this sad time, it should be of some satisfaction to know that in her passing you can celebrate the end of a very sweet, loving, wonderful person.
The measure of a life well-lived is not in how much money one has or what possessions they have accumulated, but rather through the lives they touched and the sorrow they leave behind. If the outpouring of sympathy on her loss is any indication, and it most certainly is, you can proudly and confidently say that she indeed was a life well-lived.
May you find peace and comfort in knowing that her loss is felt by all who knew and loved her.
In Sympathy,
Kelly Bobbitt

I am so sorry to hear about Sue. She was an outstanding woman and will be missed by everyone she crossed paths with. She was the best mentor I've ever had, not to mention friend. She will have a place in my heart forever. But, knowing Sue, she is now looking and smiling at all of us from above and we've gained a guardian angel. I am so sorry to Bob and the rest of her family for your loss. I wish you all the strength in the world in this difficult time.

Hi, Mr. henry. Mrs. Henry used to talk about you all the time in english glass. She was my 8th grade english teacher and my favourite in Tambearly. Mrs. Henry was so understanding and was so full of life and joy. I was strucken with shock when i heard the news and i'm really sorry sir. She was also more than just a teacher. In the eighth grade, my life wasn't so great and she was part of the reason i got through it. It felt like it was just yesterday she kept me after class, during break infront of my desk counselling me and just listening like a lot of other people didn't do. I am really going to miss her.

Sue is the reason I am still in teaching. Robert, Lianne and Elyse you don't know me but you have heard of me. Sue brought me to your cottage one weekend when I was really tired and in need of a place to sleep. Sue saw the "diamond in the rough" and encouraged me to continue on in my quest to be a teacher. Now I am a full time teacher with the board. As long as I am alive her spirit will live on. My prayers are with you.

Dear Robert, Elyse and Liane,
My deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your dearest wife and mom. Sue and I were colleagues in the school board. I remember her so very fondly as one who would ask how you were doing, and really want to know the answer. She always made the time for anyone who needed her, no matter how busy she was. She had an excellent sense of humour, and could see the funny side of life in every circumstance, which made her a delight to be around.
Sue took me under her wing, and made a special effort to be there for me as a colleague and friend. Sue's passing is indeed a huge loss. Please know that her legacy of kindness and humanity live on in those whom she inspired.

Dear Bev,
My deepest sympathies to you and your family on the passing of Susan. I only worked with her for a year at St. Mark's - over 20 years ago now - but she was always friendly & kind to me, and made me feel at home in my new work environment. She also taught my youngest sister at St. Raymond's, so it seemed our two families were destined to intertwine at the time. Keep your memories of her close to your heart and may she rest peacefully now.
