Born in 1964, in Norristown, Pa., Susan was the daughter of the late William R.
Moyer and the late Marialice Robey Moyer.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Sara Sweitzer and Elizabeth Sweitzer, both at home. Being a mother was Susan's greatest joy and she often shared that making the decision to have children is to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body.
In addition to her daughters, Susan is survived by her
sisters and brothers: Kathryn Levy, wife of Thomas Levy, Sinking Spring, Pa.; Dianne Bucolo, wife of Chris Bucolo, Denver, Pa.; William R. Moyer III, husband of Sonja Moyer, Bonner Springs, Kan.; and Thomas Moyer, Ellicott City, Md. Susan is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews: John Levy, William Levy, Kathryn (Bucolo) Hill, Daniel Bucolo, Ning Bucolo, Grant Moyer, Lisa (Moyer) Barron and Thomas Moyer Jr.
Susan was a 1982 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and graduated from Penn State University in 1986, with a Bachelor's Degree in Administration of Justice.
Susan worked as a Senior Compliance Officer, at the
County of Berks, for nearly 30 years before retiring in 2015. Susan was proud to be a four-year member of the women's swim team at Penn State University. After college, she
continued with her love of the sport, serving the local swimming community both as a PIAA official and as an
officer of the Berks County Swimming Association. Most recently, Susan was inducted into the Berks County
Aquatic Hall of Fame.
Susan was a truly remarkable woman: generous, kind, compassionate, loving and deeply loved. Her acts of
kindness and generosity will long be remembered,
including her willingness, after her death, to assist with valuable research through the Legacy Gift program at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. Susan's participation in the Legacy Gift program will enable research into
numerous diseases, including Scleroderma.
The family is incredibly thankful for the excellent care Susan has received these many years, including from Dr. David George, locally, and from her team of specialists at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.

Most sincere condolences to Susan's family. After working with her since the 80's one can't help but feel she is part of your own family. I enjoyed her laughter and stories through out the years. Her guidance and advice helps keeps me strong through my own sons illness. She will be missed but yet there's a feeling of ease knowing she is no longer in pain and can breath and spread her wings watching over us all during this purely sad time.

"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters." (1 John 3:16)
Susan loved life and she LIVED love. I look at the sheer number of people who cared about her and I am awed and inspired - but that is the kind of person she was. Her reach is far reaching and generational. She will be long remembered for the love that she shared and the lives that she touched. I am lucky to have had her in my life these last 7 years and am blessed to have been able to call her friend. I am so sad that she is gone from this world, but at the same time thankful that she is once again whole and healthy and able to live without pain.
Liz and Sarah, you are in my prayers as are all the people who loved Susan so deeply. May God comfort you in the coming weeks and months. I will think of her every time I stand on a pool deck and every time I see a beautiful sunset and will try to carry on her legacy of living joyfully.
Eternal rest grant unto Susan, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
Breathe deeply, my friend.

What can I say about a girl named Sue?
Hundreds of things, all of them true.
Someone I looked up to a long time ago
Watching her swim faster than slow.
Inspired by records she set in the pool
As a young swimmer, I thought that was cool.
Many years later I noticed her there,
Standing on deck, judging quite fair.
I thought to myself, I could do that
I reached out to her and opened up Chat'
She gave me advice, her book she did lend
From that day forward she felt like a friend.
What can I say about a girl named Sue?
She was selfless and sweet but I always knew.
Her beauty was evident inside and out
Her words always lifted those who had doubt.
Surrounded herself with love everyday
She was one of kind, amazing I'd say.
Always in my thoughts, forever in my heart. Prayers of comfort to all who knew her. Rest in Peace dear Susan.
