SUSAN OPFERMAN Obituary
Of South Park, on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, age 59, the angels came down and took Sue to Heaven to be with her Heavenly Father. Beloved wife of Gary R. Opferman; loving mother of Shannon Farley (Thomas), Kelley Dailey and Christopher (Lauren); sister of Lynn O'Leary and Mike O'Leary (Maxine); proud grandmother of Taylor, Hailey, Lyrick, Luke, Shelbie, Abbey, C.J., Maggie, Darren and Riley. Visitation Monday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the DAVID J. HENNEY FUNERAL HOME, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library, where a Funeral Service will be Tuesday 10:30 a.m.

Today I remember sue, her kind, loving and gentle smile, the way she welcomed my mother to the Wal-Mart team, some days I'm sure they wish they weren't....but truly created a family type atmosphere there! I know today that my mom (carol Kerrigan) and sue are watching over us and telling stories. Until we meet again, I miss and love you both!

I just wanted to send the family my condolences. I had the honor of meeting Sue through my sister Karen C. and the two of them were best buddies. Sue was there for us when both of our parents passed away. She helped with the wakes, and was there for what ever Karen needed. She was a good friend. She will be missed by our family.

To the Opferman family.......My deepest sympathy in the passing of Sue....Sue and I went to Baldwin High School together and became good friends in our senior year..We had so many laughs together and she surely was a special kind of person. Sorry to say we lost touch over the years...I only wish I knew she lived so close to where I live now. My God hold her gently in his loving arms and my she find peace with our dear Lord and Savior.

Sue loved God and her family,and continues to love,now in perfection.We will see this wonderful person with a sweet smile again soon! It was awesome to see family and friends take such loving care of her.

To the Opferman family, I got to know sue through my mom,(carol) who works at walmart!! Sue was one of the first people that made my mother feel like she had a real friend when she first moved back here from florida! Sue also bought me slippers when I was recovering from surgery!! GOD truly took a good one. Obviously she was needed, cause this stuff never makes sense to me!
My thoughts and prayers are truly with you.

Gary and family,
I got to know Sue during the years we worked together at the Bethel Park Walmart. I never met a more optimistic, cheerful, person.
Because we were both musicians, and we both loved The Beatles, music was a major topic of conversation between us. Of course, it was interesting to talk to Sue about many other things, she was a very sweet and knowledgeable person.
I regret that I never got to hear her sing and play guitar --- but I will never forget the music of her spirit.
My heartfelt sympathies go out to all of you.
